Devastation26 06-16-2001, 04:54 PM And to add something to the JEffersons/Good Times relationship, here...
Good Times was a spinoff of Maude which was a spinoff of All in the Family. The Jeffersons was a spinoff of all in the family. They (like about half of the shows in the 70's)are related through AITF
factsfanatic 06-16-2001, 06:57 PM I seem to remember Mother Jefferson drinking a lot of Bloody Marys. Am I right? And about the strip club it was Louise, Helen, and Jenny that went to the club, then George and Tom followed them.

boechsner 06-19-2001, 03:32 AM Actually, there is a more direct connection between Good Times and The Jeffersons. It stems from All in the Family. On All in the Family, Beatrice Arthur guest starred as Edith's cousin, Maude Findlay. Also on AITF, The Jeffersons were the Bunker's next door neighbors. When Bea Arthur got her own series, Maude, she hired a black housekeeper, Esther Rolle as Florida Evans. Esther then got her own series, the Maude spinoff, Good Times.
boechsner 06-20-2001, 02:32 AM Actually, I've overlooked the most direct connection between Good Times and The Jeffersons. Mike Evans who played Lionel Jefferson helped create Good Times.
Devastation26 06-21-2001, 04:53 AM whoa! And for the record, I DID mention the GT/Jeffersons connection via Maude in one of my atempts. I didn't know about mike evans helping to create GT though. Of course, I never seen GT, I only knew that it was a spinoff of Maude and that one character said Dynomite.......
Dry Cleaner 10-23-2003, 11:47 AM Janet Dubois that played Willona on Good Times sang the Jefferson's theme song.
These actors appeared on both sereies: Ernest Harden Jr(Marcus), Gary Coleman(Raymond), Louis Gossett, Jr(George's Navy buddy), Rozelle Gayle, and Mel Stewart played Henry Jefferson on AITF.
Boechsner is very good. I remember putting that together a few years ago. I just wonder if "Edith Bunker" ever visited Maude and Met Florida Evans? Probably not.
