(Woman Sets Car And Herself On Fire)

Cayuga - A woman who doused her car in gasoline and set it on fire as she
drove down a rural road was in critical condition last night. The woman is in
a Hamilton hospital with what police are describing as self-inflicted injuries.
The 50-year-old Selkirk, Ont., woman stopped at a gas station in Cayuga just
after 12:30 am yesterday. An attendant said the woman pumped gas over
her car, paid and then calmly drove away. An ambulance crew that had been
parked across from the gas station was following her along Highway 3 when
the car burst into flame, sped off the road into a ditch and crashed into a tree.

Winnipeg - A man who saw an incident that left a 10 - year - old boy with a badly burned leg says he appeared to be a willing participant in a risky game.

A 14 - year - old boy and 13 - year - old girl charged with aggravated assault against Kasey Richard, who is recovering from second-degree burns in hospital.

The man, who would identify himself only by the first name Reg, said Kasey wasn't held down by bigger kids, doused with lighter fluid and set on fire, as he been alleged. "That's Garbage," he said in an interview.

He said he saw the whole incident from his window. The older boy would pour lighter fluid on shoes or other pieces of clothing and set it on fire, Reg said.

" The little kid was waiting, like 'My Turn! My Turn!' "

Reg said he tried to give his account to the police, but they wouldn't take it because he refused to give his name or address.

He said he became concerned after he heard the two older teenagers had been jailed.

That's horrible about that boy. Those kids probably thought it was funny.

OMG - what's going on these days??

Bad enough with the suicidal woman, but any crime where people set their victims on fire is the most sickening to me! Especially when they're young. God!

All these stories are very sad...

Sounds like the older girl wanted to commit suicide (The one at gas station)
