I missed it in New York, but apparently a piece on the Today Show says that the top two DVD releases this week are The Aviator and you know what. Did anyone see it ? IF anyone can record or Tivo it if you can, please, I would appreciate it and will reimburse you for a copy.
Thanks

To Mr. Doug Denoff....
I didn't see the "Today Show" piece, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, Doug, for "getting the ball rolling" toward what is now THE GREATEST TV-ON-DVD COLLECTION of all-time -- "The Dick Van Dyke Show: The Complete Series" (via Image Entertainment, Inc.)!
I realize the work (and persistence) you put into making the DVD release of all 158 Van Dyke shows a reality.
I've spoken with you on prior occasions via e-mail correspondence, and I just wanted you to know that YOU have not been overlooked by this DvD-On-DVD fan. And I appreciate and applaud your worthy efforts on behalf of your father and on behalf of this finest of all situation comedies, "TDvDS". :)
I've often wondered, while looking over the various "credits" and "salutations" that permeate the many DVD-On-DVD discs, WHY on Earth your name -- "Douglas Denoff" -- does not show up ANYWHERE on any of these Image Entertainment DVD releases? :(
I cannot understand that. Is it because you, technically, were not part of the "Official" Image/Brownstein "team"? Therefore, your "get-the-ball-rolling" efforts are totally ignored on these discs?
Your name is not even among the many DOZENS of names that appear in the "Special Thanks" area on each of the five 4-Page booklet inserts that come with the individual-season boxed sets.
Anyway, regardless of Official 'Image' kudos, I thank you, Doug, for your efforts on behalf of Mr. Van Dyke's classic TV series.
I never tire of watching these fabulous DVD-Video discs. And I never will tire of them.
Best Regards,
David R. Von Pein

WOW. Thanks for taking the time to write with your support.
At WMA's suggestions, Brownstein (who paid nothing for his involvement) was part of MY team. The bid he solicited from Image was ON BEHALF of my project. Then he and WMA excluded me because he was in cahoots with WMA.
At one point in our conversations, after Season 1 had come out, WMA even offered to give me credit on all subsequent releases, but they failed to live up to that promise either.
Enjoy the shows - they're what counts!
