That wasn't too far away from me. If I knew at the time the bear was over there, I would have brought her to my house- let her run around in the backyard (she looked like a friendly bear). :D
They didn't mention the street, but it looked like the area near Tampa Ave and Sesnon Blvd. The houses in that area really are just below the foothills of the Santa Susana Mountains and would be the among the first houses a bear would be near.

No bears in your pool Fleet? (or your caddies?)

Ahhh I wouldn't want to see a bear in one of Fleet's caddies... he'd rip up the seats! :o

You'll get your chance. All mannor of critteres are wandering into cities due to urban sprawl. However, a bear would likely chew up your precious vehicles.

I hope they caught it on tape, I can BEAR-ly wait to see it

No, not yet. They probably won't come this far south (another 3 miles or so); bears don't like the heat.
Besides, there is no pool at my house.

I don't think any bears would be interested. As long as I keep no food inside (which I don't).

I don't think they like metal.
But they better stay away from my chocolate. If they go near that, it's time to get my rifle out. (Just kidding... I like bears; I would rather catch one and make it my pet.) :)

I sure wish I could have caught it. She still looks friendly to me. :)

just make sure you get out of the pool first - it makes the bears angry.

I haven't thought of that. I may have to put all of the chocolate in one of those self-storage places to keep the bears away!
And any jars of honey.
