View Full Version : my favorite aunt passed away
Dean Winchester 05-22-2005, 05:50 PM my great-aunt Loretta died yesterday. Even though she was 85 years old and had lived her life, I still really feel bad. When my mom was in the hospital when I was 6 years old, she was the one who volunteered to spend time with me because my dad used to work all the time.
In a way, Aunt Loretta was the closest thing to a grandmother I had. My mom's mom died when I was 5 months old so I never actually knew her and my dad's mom died when he was 6, and Loretta was almost like a second mother to him and probably raised him more than his own father did.
My heart especially goes out to her son and daughter, because they just lost their mother not even a full week after they lost their brother (Loretta has been in a nursing home on a ventalator lately, she had no idea her son Danny had passed). I feel kinda bad that I hadn't seen her in a while, last time I saw her was like a day after my moms funeral.
*MIBabe03* 05-22-2005, 05:51 PM I'm sorry. :(
