:( I heard that were was not going to be a spin-off off of ELR after all.
I also heard that some of the ELR cast members had a disagreement
over it and said they would not like a spin-off show about the married
life of Robert and Amy. Is this true?,Is there no hope for another show
similar to ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' ?

Geez, give it a rest! Why do you think that they canceled 'ELR'? They apparently don't want to be bothered anymore with the show or any spin-offs (for that matter). They want to be able to move on to different projects.

I don't think a spin-off is a good idea. Robert and Amy alone won't make a funny show like ELR.

It's just impossible to explain a spinoff situation where the other characters aren't around.

Unless we just missed them everytime.

I think the show is trying to end gracefully and avoid the mistakes that other great sitcoms have made...like "jumping the shark" and spin-offs.

Look at Seinfeld. Three shows staring former cast members went down in flames. Listen Up is hanging on but it took four tries. You can't force these things. The ideas have to stew for a while.

Besides, it would be out of character for Robert to get anything that Raymond had...like a sitcom.

CBS wanted for ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' to return for a 10th season
in the 2005-2006 season, but creator Phil Rosenthal stated that
''Our writers ran out of story lines,So this season was the last one due out.''

I hope this doesn't happen to Ray,Brad or Patricia. They are all willing to
do something else.It would be a great disappointment to them three
if everything good just slides down the drainpipe.

Phil, what in the hell are you talking about? This show could of ran another five years easily. Debra, Marie and the teenage daughter, Robert and Amy having a baby, Amy being another daughter in law for Marie to drive crazy. Robert and Amy seeing her parents (Fred Willard and Georgia Engel).

I still would like to see a situation where the parents of Ray and Debra live near each other and drive each other crazy.

That's my take.

I don't really see a spinoff working out for this show. Without the main charectors it wouldn't be as good
