Haha, so call me corny, but the senior superlatives were recently in my yearbook and I saw the "most changed" superlative, and isn't it funny how people change over the years? So I was wondering, what changes have you guys been through since coming to the boards. For people who registered like...yesterday this might be a difficult topic, but I know there's a number of people still from back in the good ol days...

I've always thought that was stupid. Everybody changes. To me, it's just an excuse to give more superlatives bc/ they couldn't think of any better ones.

However, I must say I like your signature! The Phantom is one of my favorites. :cheer:

Mmm... I stopped going to the HD board. I mean, I didnt stop, but I dont go there anymore. We pretty much covered every topic, episode, scenario there could be

I dont think Ive really 'changed' though. I made a bunch of great friends though here, with about 4 really close ones.

I've changed so much. My old posts were like "OMGAWWW LOLIEZSHGHP :p :D !!@%$#!!!" and now I'm like.... "OMGAWWWWWW." Without everything else.

Well, the first time I came here, I strictly went to the Seinfeld boards only. Then for a while, I went in Random, but not anymore. Now it's mostly just Chit-Chat, and wherever I feel. I'll go into Politics a lot more than when I first joined.

I'm pretty sure I've gotten taller.

And stupider. Or is it more stupid? See?

Stupid.

I officially became an Internet junkie when I joined SO. Also, this can be positive and negative, but I've let other people influence my opinions when I have to talk out there in the real world. Just listening to other people's stances and thoughts and keeping an open mind, I guess. :)

I've matured. Physically and emotionally. My philosophy on life has matured. I've realized that, in the long run, what others think about me doesn't matter. I should just be myself, let them love or hate me as I am.
I'm a better person now than I was four years ago.

Now, I don't know how much this board contributed to that growth, but it has certainly been a special place for me throughout.

I moved from being a Facts of Life fanatic to a simple member of chit chat.

I'm really different now than I was back in 2002. Almost completely different.

A few things are the same, like my love for Happy Days and 1950's Cars amoung other things. I like myself better now.

I've learned that everyone has different opinions, and you can't get everyone to agree with you about something. It's just a waste of time fighting about something, knowing the opinions won't change. I've never had a problem with that on this board, but on other boards I have.

Actually I've changed quite a bit, But I Can still see bits and pieces of my personality when I Look back at 2002 posts. I Also stopped going to the HD Board about a year ago. Another thing is, I Used to be obsessed with a bunch of older shows and songs, Whereas nowadays i'm a bit more into Present things.

 Every time you say "shave," I think back to SO after the upgrade in January. There was a calendar area, and you put up "Shaving Day" on it. The post Seth made about it was priceless. :rotflmao:

As for me...I was 16 going on 17 when I joined in '02. Now I'm less than 3 months away from turning 20 and I really do feel I have changed a lot in my time here. When I first came here I was like, "OMFG VICKI!!!!1111111one!" and HAD to have Vicki av's all the time. Now, not anymore. I STILL adore & admire her, I just don't talk about her 24/7. :)

Strangely enough...My taste in TV shows have definitely broadened in my time here. I used to just like 80's sitcoms when I first came here, but now I have included more genres and decades of TV to the mix. :D

Life as a whole as gotten better for me, I'll admit. It's not perfect, but what is? I'm still shy, I'm still difficult...I came here in 2002 with a different username and posted a little only at the Three's Company board, but then I started exploring the rest and thought the people at chit chat seemed cool. Since I didn't like my old name and didn't know TJ could change them (or even who TJ was :)) I just re-registered. I was a lot stupider then, but that's to be expected...har, not that I'm not still stupid...just less. As for the love of comedy, that'll never go away. So my interest in shows change, my interest in the type of shows won't. I was too afraid to be a sarcastic wise ass when I came here, but thought hell...it's the internet, what do I care what these people think? I've learned that was stupid...but I'm still a sarcastic wise ass anyway ;) Good love, good people, good love.

Also...

- I haven't posted in the Games forum as much as I used to, as well as the Step by Step forum (Which I came here for in the first place).
- I live for the Reality Shows board. AMERICAN IDOL!! :woohoo: (I just love that little smiley!)

You can't leave this place. It's like being caught in a suction. Nice to still see you around here, though! It's been forever.

I'm not the lazy bastard I used to be 4+ years ago. Plus I have a life now. Which would explain why I'm not here anymore. I used to come home from school and be so excited because I knew I was coming straight here. (Sad, I know) Now I can go days without coming here, but a lot of things have calmed down and I have time to read everything, so it's all good. But I've changed for the better. I'm done a 180 actually, but I still have time to check in on everyone here.

I've learned that everyone has different opinions, and you can't get everyone to agree with you about something. It's just a waste of time fighting about something, knowing the opinions won't change.

I learned that lesson after sparring with Fleet over in the Politics board. I used to think I could influence people into changing. I used to be more reseptive to changing myself! But I became more defensive after a few assumptions and uncalled-for remarks from several "debaters".

However, I would not say it's a waste of time to express my opinion. I simply realize that that's all I'm doing and that's all I can hope to do, because my opinion will not change another's. Then, I can argue all I want and I have a blast! :happyface

I was a lot more idealistic when I was 14 four years ago. I'm more cynical now. I believed in romance then. I'm part of a crew here. I don't queen out as often. I think Clay losing was my last time. I'm more mature. I study a lot more. I don't live for FOL anymore. I don't go to sitcom message boards anymore.

I was a very shy person when I first started posting nearly 2 years ago in 2003. The first 2 months I was here I barely posted at all. I really started posting a lot on the Games board . Then after I went to Random, I met some great friends and I started posting even more. I think I'm a lot more comfortable on the boards now. I know I like to joke a lot more now then when I started. My tastes in TV Shows really haven't changed. I still prefer the classics and hate all reality tv.

I know I take my fair share of breaks from the boards but I have changed in that I don't post in the games forum anymore and I used to say I would never post in a random thread...but that's how I made my great friends here. Also, in terms of my real life, I think I have a better grasp on who I am as a person as opposed to 3 years ago.

i've been through an awful lot of **** offline since i joined which has taught me a lot about life and made me more realistic and mature. i've also become a foul mouthed miserable bitch. well thats not really the boards fault but w/e. my pwning skills have improved by about 1000%. i used to be kind of shy to say things on here sometimes and now i'm not scared of anyone and i do anything i want without hesitation or worrying that i'll make an ass of myself. yeah i'm a big bad fourth-yearer.the only things i haven't lost are my insanity and stupidity.

Um. I had a very immature attitude before. I was bratty and demanding. I wanted everyone to do what I wanted them to do, not because it's what they wanted. I've matured a lot since then. Still working on some things though. lol

I've matured a lot. I mean, even from last year to this year, I see a difference. A lot has happened to me in the past year, and as bad as this may sound, if I had the ability to change it, I wouldn't. It's taught me valuable lessons in life. I think everything happens for a reason.
