As predicted Joan of Arcadia has bitten the dust after 2 years. If your a hit your first year, don't count on it the second year.

Wasn't it going into it's 4th season? That's what I assumed.

That sucks! Joan of Arcadia was a good show. I thought it was doing well in the ratings?

Yeah really! I thought this show was a HUGE critical and ratings success story - what happened?

Didn't it win a lot of emmys just a year or so ago?

No, it didn't win any Emmys. It got three nominations, including Best Drama Series. Amber got lead actress Emmy and Golden Globe nominations after its first season.

Well, it goes to show you that CBS tried to bring to the viewers another 'Touched By An Angel' (that ran for 9 seasons)count them 9 seasons, and 'Joan Of Acadia' only for 2.They'll never be another 'Touched By An Angel' no matter how hard CBS tires  No offence Jason.

I am SOOOOOOOO angry about Joan's cancellation!!! I got word of American Dreams' cancellation earlier this week and now this.

What the heck is wrong with TV today? Would they not know quality TV if it bit them in the butt?

No. Why have original programming like Joan and American Dreams when you can have copycat shows and reality trash?

I've heard they are putting in some stupid Jennifer Love Hewitt show in it's time spot. Apparantly, Jennifer can talk to dead people or some crap like that.

The ratings for the second season weren't as good as the first, but it seems that the main reason it was cancelled is because CBS is trying to reach a younger audience overall. I read an article about it in which CBS chairman Les Moonves was quoted as saying: "I think talking to ghosts may skew younger than talking to God."

How many younger people even stay home to watch TV on Friday nights? The ones that do will probably keep watching ABC. I'm sincerely hoping this backfires in a big way.

I was seriously devastated when they canceled this show but I'm glad it's been on Start TV. I think they did a huge disservice by ruining it the way they did in Season 2. If they had kept it like Season 1 they probably could have kept it going for at least another year.
