I watched the episode where Lucy redecorates the Mertzes apartment and cuts open the feather stuffed chair. When Fred turns on the fan Ethel or Lucy says "Oh my God. Look at this place!" I didn't catch which one said it. I saw it on the closed captioning. Since they filmed "live" with hardly any retakes, did this just come naturally as they were filming the stunt? I find it hard to believe they would actually write Oh my God in any 50's sitcom script. I thought it was funny having a line like that on Lucy.

I guess we will never know if it was in the script or not, but I wouldn't really be suprised. I Love Lucy was the first show to have a pregnant woman on TV so to say something like that wouldn't really be a big deal or at least I don't think so. Put it this way, I think they pushed the envelope when Ricky spanked Lucy a few times, that had to raise a few eyebrows.
