moeee 05-18-2005, 02:21 AM wow! interesting.......Any chance of Triple HHH leaving RAW and going to smackdown?
Chain Gang Member 05-18-2005, 09:36 AM Why can't they just do it in one day? This year's draft is full of crap more than there being a RAW roster and a Smackdown! roster when it should be just one roster together
Miss Golden 05-18-2005, 11:05 AM By stretching this out for the month of June, Vince will be trying to double the success of the ratings of the 2004 draft.
Chad22 05-18-2005, 04:13 PM Its good for ratings I Suppose, And It at least gives us something to look forward to every week.
I Just hope the draft picks are actually worth it. Not Just A Bunch of lower midcarders like last year.
moeee 05-18-2005, 09:49 PM They do need to shake it up a bit.

I see mostly upper mid carders to main event talent getting traded, what would be the purpose of trading Val Venis, Hardcore Holly, Rene Dupree, Steven Richards, etc. It would only be necessary to trade them to spice up Heat and Velocity, and rumors are going around the WWE may cancel one or both of those shows when it moves over to the USA Network in September 2005.
Plus there is no point in trading women talent, they do absolutely nothing, the only female talent to trade would be Michelle McCool to Raw because she has wrestling talent, but the Women's Title is as dead as ever with Trish Stratus being injured whom is the champ, Lita looks to be in a managerial role now with Edge and Victoria will be fired soon anyway due to lack of storyline and Molly Holly's release a month ago.
Miss Golden 05-31-2005, 11:34 PM Of all the Smackdown superstars I hope John Bradshaw Leyfield goes to Raw, he is really being depushed on Smackdown as of late. Plus there is nothing really left for him on Smackdown since he has been the dominant force for the past year.
As for any Raw superstars, I would not mind Chris Jericho going to Smackdown and trying for a shot at the Smackdown World Title. To think that he was the first Undisputed champion, and strong main event talent at one point and now he is almost a jobber. Since it looks like he will never have a chance at holding the Raw title again, at least let him give it a try on Smackdown.
If JBL goes to RAW then he's going to be depushed even more. He'll be on Heat in no time. Seriously, he'll probably have a World Heavyweight Championship shot and get squashed (probably by Triple H, of course, I expect him to win at Vengeance) and his WWE Championship reign will slowly be flushed down the toilet. Same thing with Eddie Guerrero.
You're right about Jericho though.
Julius 06-01-2005, 05:27 PM To be honest. Splitting the rosters was the worst thing they can do. They should merge the rosters so all superstars can appear on both shows
moeee 06-02-2005, 12:33 AM But if they merge, then some of the superstars wouldnt be seen as much. They would have to put the majority of them on Sunday night heat or something.

Oh i understand now, like how it was about 4 years ago.
Miss Golden 06-18-2005, 01:23 AM Obviously the reason we have the roster split is because of the death of WCW. When WCW closed in March 2001, 24 WCW talents were automatically contracted to the WWE. Then in the summer of 2001 around June, the WCW talents started appearing on WWE programming along with a lot of ECW talent that had signed with the WWE due to ECW going under in January 2001. The WWE's roster was so huge they started the WCW/ECW invasion angle. Then at Survivor Series 2001 when the team WWE defeated the WCW/ECW alliance, all of the WCW/ECW stars disappeared from programming until April 2002 when the rosters were split. So if WCW was still in business today, we would not have the roster split.
Brian Damage 06-18-2005, 11:40 AM The roster split is a good idea. It allows more wrestlers to get a push to main event status.
As far as this draft goes, it is silly to only draft the main eventers. All it is doing is switch the Smackdown show to Raw and the Raw show to Smackdown.
Miss Golden 06-29-2005, 02:36 AM One pick a week per show, until the final week when each show will get two picks.
The first RAW pick - John Cena
The first SMACKDOWN! pick - Chris Benoit
The second RAW pick - Kurt Angle
The second SMACKDOWN! pick - Randy Orton
The third RAW pick - Carlito Carribbean Cool
The third SMACKDOWN! pick - Muhammad Hassan and Diavari
The fourth and fifth RAW pick - Big Show and Rob Van Dam
The fourth and fifth SMACKDOWN! pick - Christian and Batista
General Managers are allowed to trade until Midnight on June 30th.
Well, it will be interesting to see some fresh feuds. This Draft was totally different than last year's considering it was mainly lower card talent that got traded.
Chain Gang Member 06-29-2005, 10:52 AM Man I wish Shelton Benjamin came to Smackdown! because I wanted The World's Greatest Tag Team to reunite and defeat MNM to become the New Tag Team Champs. That would've been awsome

On the WWE newsboards, it states there will definately be trades that will occur until Midnight June 30th, most likely WWE.com will post the trades similiar to last year:
Here are some stars I think Might switch shows from the lower card:
Raw Superstars to Smackdown:
Sylvain Grenier or Rob Conway
- send Grenier to Smackdown to reunite with Dupree, or Conway to start competing in singles action.
William Regal or Tajiri - Freshen both up a little bit, both are lost on Raw and need a change.
Maven - could compete in the cruiserweight division, lost on Raw, basically a jobber.
Val Venis - biggest jobber currently on Raw, send him to Smackdown to get a fresh start.
Steven Richards - currently injured, actually has been on Raw since the initial 2002 Roster Split.
Eugene - a rumored team with Heidenrich, plus he has done everything on Raw.
Tyson Tomko - if Christian keeps a problem solver, if not you can expect Tomko will become the prince of Heat.
Smackdown Superstars to Raw:
Doug Basham - since leaving the JBL's cabinet, needs a fresh start on Raw.
Danny Basham - - since leaving the JBL's cabinet, needs a fresh start on Raw.
Matt Morgan - if WWE plans to reunite him with Carlito.
Hardcore Holly - he has been on Smackdown since the initial 2002 split, Heat needs freshening up.
Charlie Haas - to reunite him with Shelton Benjamin, he is totally lost on Smackdown.
Scotty 2 Hotty - has been on Smackdown since the initial split, could help freshen Heat up a little bit.
Rene Dupree - if Grenier stays on Raw, send Dupree to reunite the original La Resistance since the singles career bombed.
Mark Jindrak - too talented, being wasted on Smackdown, give him a fresh start on Raw.
moeee 06-30-2005, 12:58 AM but some of these wrestlers might be gone, right?
