Karen and Richar Carpenter ruled the radio waves in 1970's and late 60's. Such songs as 'Close To You','We Only Just Begun",'Good By To Love',
made them famouse as pop/soft duo. They have won awards,Emmy's, etc..
Karen died in 1983 of Heart Fairlure to do Chronic Anorexia. She got married in the late 70's,but divorced no children. In 1984 after her death Richard came out with a new album featuring Karen's voice. 'Touch Me While we Are Dancing' was a hit even after her death.The country band Alabama made it a country top 40 song in 1986 or 1985.Richard Carpenter now is still producing music. We will always remember Karens voice, she will live on for ever,we can hear her voice on the radio, and Make Beleive It's The First Time.
