I was born on November 5, 1965, so when Billboard issued this chart, I was all alone on the edge of. . . seventeen! :lol:

My choices for best songs for the week ending 10/16/82 are above. Sorry, I thought "Jack and Diane" sucked. So did everything John Mellencamp recorded when he was calling himself John Cougar. (I'm thinking his record company called him that because they were called Mercury, he'd be Mercury's Cougar, like the Mercury Cougar car, right?) Anyway, if you want to hear a good teens-coming-of-age song from Mellencamp, stick with "Cherry Bomb" from '87. :)
