To me, those were the best shows she ever did on GT. Once she became a regular, her character was not as great. I was watching those EPS over the weekend. TVONE showed all of the Penny abusing episodes on Saturday. Janet Jackson did a helluva during those three or four parts. And so did Kim Fields' mother Chip playing Mrs. Gordon.

Yeah, I think she did an awesome job. I remember her E true hollywood story was on and Norman Lear had her kinds audition for the part of penny. He told her to pretend she got him a tie and he didn't like it and she started crying on que, and she was hired. I think she did a good job in the series.

Truthfully, after the abuse episodes the only other shows in shich her character stands out are the one when her mother comes back and the one where Willona is afraid to talk to her about sex.

I saw that there was a Good Times Marathon on Saturday airing on TV ONE and once I saw all he eps were about Penny I never turned to it.

Penny wasn't my favorite character, however I would've watched a marathon like that (or taped it) because the last 2 seasons aren't yet available on DVD.
