.......and they told me since it is a new release, it will arrive around June 17 or that week! I thought the purpose for ordering through amazon was to get it on that date! Did anyone ever have that problem? I'll never order from amazon again. This was my first time by the way.

I would hang tight and try not to worry about it quite yet. You very well may get it closer to the release date. I've ordered a "Pre-Release" dvd from them and it got to me within a day or two of the release date. I notice that they "cover their back" by telling you to allow 2 weeks, 3 weeks, whatever but actually ship much sooner than that. Like I say, when I ordered a Pre-release dvd I got it right away from Amazon.

I usually do buy from the local store. I was just using amazon as a test.

Season 6 arrived yesterday in the mail. 4 days after the release date. You were right. I will never order from amazon again. I just did it as a test to see how long it takes to arrive.

amazon has changed a lot, especially when they chagre taxes on every item you purchase.
