One thing I have posed to various groups of Jeannie fans and never gotten any decent response is the idea of attempting to second-guess what might have happened at the end of various episodes that did not really "end".

Such as the episode "My Turned-On Master" where Jeannie transfers her powers to Tony for 24-hours. The last we see, Tony tells their landscape man that his lawnmower will run forever, and then they drive off to the banquet while he is now stuck on a lawnmower that will magically run forever. I would like to know what more accidental magic happened from Tony during the banquet, after it was over, and when they got home. You could even go back a few hours to the time that passed between when Tony got the power back from Dr. Bellows, and the time they then showed with him and Jeannie getting ready for the banquet. Did Tony attempt to stop any wars afterall, and we never heard about it? What else did he try out with her powers? Did she give him any more advice, and help him learn how to blink the magic?

Basically, this can be used as a writing challenge for those of us that like to write fanfic based on IDoJ. If any of you want to give it a try, please do so. But, it can also be a great "What if..." kind of discussion. I should go through the eps and see how many have such possibilities built into them. Wow, tough challenge. I just today thought of a plot for a Lucy fanfic after thinking about it for weeks. I find Adam-12 fanfics 10x easier to write. But that's not a bad idea! That particular plot could take MANY turns.

It can be a tough challenge, but I am in a small group of friends that sometimes brainstorm new ideas and such for writing IDoJ fanfic. Sadly, I have not actually SEEN IDOJ in many many years, long before I began writing the fanfic. "Missing Scenes" or "After the Credits," though, are popular ideas on fanfiction.net (I esp. love the Star Trek ones, being a Trekker.)

I have some IDOJ stand-alone fic (not related to my Crossover with Stargate SG-1):

"Missing and Presumed" is my first Drama/Angst fic of ANY fandom. Tony is MIA, and Roger and Jeannie need to make some painful choices. (Tony's not dead, btw... and this is not alternate universe, it very well could have happened, given the dangerous natures of their careers.)

"Dreams" Roger told him he should revel in the dreams.

"Roger is Dreaming of Jeannie" An alternate universe piece, based on the IDOJ Pilot episode. Roger tells Tony, "I wish it was me going." What if it HAD been Roger? This is how I see it as happening.

CROSSOVER: "The Endeavour Series." It's great, and has many installments.
