TVFactFan 05-16-2005, 12:00 AM Why Gurdy Vincent would give the Evans real food if she was living off a small income and keep pet food for herself-lol
THat's why I would have never eaten the meatloaf if I was the Evans.
seventies_sitcoms 05-16-2005, 12:29 PM She must've used all of her money to buy the real meat for dinner. I thought she said she ate the pet food sometimes, but not always, to save money.
That was the grossest looking meatloaf too. She must've had no electricity to cook it because that thing was PINK!!

Someone at the Table should have asked Gurdy-"why would you prepare this wonderful meal for us and not keep it for yourself since you are having money prpblems"?
nerrad 05-16-2005, 02:32 PM Now that WAS a very weird episode. Mainly because of the reasons you said. Why would she give the Evanses real meat instead of keeping it for herself?
"Instead of me chasing women, I'll be chasing cats".
"The Lord is my German Shepherd".

Willona was the only one who escaped eating the dog food-LOL
msjay 05-16-2005, 04:18 PM Yeah, that meatloaf didn't look done. Who wants pink meat loaf, looked like puppy chow to me. ;)

"Don't treat your puppy like a dog, no-no
Feed him Purina Puppy Chow!"
RIC FLAIR 05-20-2005, 01:21 PM Someone at the Table should have asked Gurdy-"why would you prepare this wonderful meal for us and not keep it for yourself since you are having money prpblems"?
THERE WAS NOTHING WONDERFUL ABOUT THE MEATLOAF.IT LOOK LIKE THE KIND OF DOG FOOD YOU WOULDN'T FEED TO YOUR DOGS.
nerrad 05-20-2005, 02:01 PM Willona must've been wearing a wig that episode. Notice how she was grabbing her when Michael was pulling her to sit down. I don't think that was part of the script.

She wore a wig in a lot of episodes-lol
Brian Damage 05-30-2005, 12:02 PM That was a hilarious episode. I just think that Gurdy had alot of pride. She would rather spend her money on others than herself. She was "oldschool."

I wonder was Senior Citizens eating pet food a Big Story in the U.S. in the mid 70's because I do remember the Executive Producer saying they got all their topic ideas from Current Events
Brian Damage 05-30-2005, 12:18 PM Actually, I think that problem still exists today.
