Hi all. I watched a little bit of Family Ties during it's original run but was a bit young but did watch reruns here and then during the early 90's. Until I saw the marathon Sunday on the Nick at Nite only because I couldn't find anything else good to watch. I ended up watching the marathonn all week and became hooked.

But I was just wondering if anybody can link these guest stars such as Cripin Glover who guested on Family Ties only later to work with Mike again on Back to the Future. Or Meredith, & Christopher Lloyd who worked with Mike before guesting on Spin City. Just wondering if anybody else can place these relations or know of anybody like Mike's old pals on Family Ties who have guest starred on Spin City?

I think Crispin Glover was very funny when he was a guest in Family Ties. And its greate to see all of them who worked whit Mike before ,coming and say just Hello in Spin City ore Family Ties.

River Phoenix was in one episode in which he played Eugene, Alex's much younger tutor in college. Also, Daphne Zuniga of Melrose Place played Alex's girlfriend Rachael in the early years. Around the same time, Jami Gertz (The Lost Boys, Twister, Less than Zero) played Alex's love interest as well.

I have a doubt on a certain episode. This is the episode of Mallorie's 1st. pleage for a sorority ( please forgive my spelling; my English is not that good.). A certain girl was using Mallorie, letting her belive; she could recommend her to join the sorority, in exchange to meet Alex.

My question is:
Was that girl, Cameron Diaz at a very young age?

Is it possible that you are confusing this episode with an episode of "Growing Pains"? The reason I ask is because I don't remember an episode of FT like that, but I do remember a GP episode like that where a girl that looked very much like Cameron Diaz was trying to get to Mike through Carol. However, that was many years ago and Cameron Diaz would've been really young then, so I kinda doubt it.

It wasn't River Pheonix who played Eugine, it was Will Wheaton. We also had a tremendous crush on Jennifer, but she didn't go for the non-athletic type.
