I don't want to be mean because the site is great, It has allot of great content. But it really appears to be falling behind the internet. The site uses static html pages, Has no search facility, It still uses tables for design.
So much more could be done like a search facility, easy link-submission, with Internet languages like PHP and PERl why just use HTML? I think that you even have to update each letter file every time you add a new link right? So for a show like "Eight Simple Rules" you would have to update E and 0.

It could be allot easier with an administration panel.

I don't mean to be rude or mean, I just think Sitcoms Online is really lacking in the website area, Don't get me wrong the forums and gallery's are great and the websites content is but you can do so much more with a server language.

A new link system is something I would look to do in the future, I don't have time for it now though. It would be nice to have a more automated system. I am not a programmer though and couldn't set it up myself. I prefer to stick to a simple design. Content is always more important then a flashy design. Look at TV Tome. It would not win any web design contests.

I could use a portal system such as your site, but everybody uses something like that. Where is the originality? You've got yourself quite an Alexa rating there fellow Burst member for a single site.. lol Didn't know 8 Simple Rules was that popular. :)

I don't use a Portal system, although I agree it does look like that, I coded everything but the shoutbox there.

I don't think you would need to loose the simplicity either, I agree loads of blocks like TV Tome would not be good. An automated linking system can make a heck of difference, not only to users but to you. It would keep your directory up-to-date and could cut down your work load, Like a "Report broken link" your links directory would be great.
