I was watching some episodes from Season 9 last night, with one of them being TOW the Mugging. During this one, I had a thought pop up in my tiny little brain. If Phoebe started out on the streets--having to mug people and having basically nothing after her mom killed herself, how did she end up with nice clothes, good friends, and a nice job? I don't think that she could have gotten the type of money to start out in a place like New York from mugging or stealing. Did someone show an act of kindness and help her out or something. I don't remember this ever being mentioned or anything, and I have watched the show since forever. If it was mentioned, and I didn't let it sink it, and anyone out there could tell me, I would really appreciate it. I hope my question makes sense...if not, let me know and I will try to rephrase it. I forget the exact wording but she mentions that after being on the streets for a while she discovered aroma therapy. I imagine that someone was just kind enough to take her in and foster her interests and then she was able to get out and explore.
