Who feels that they should've had something different for the opening credits for the seventh season?

I understand they wanted the season 7 opening to feature the New York mural but were having problems securing the rights from the owners. They went ahead and created a mural for the season 8 opening credits.

They probably didn't have time to film something else, plus in keeping with tradition they would've had to have commissioned a musician or a band to redo the theme music. I don't mind so much because the music for that year (I think it's Jr Walker) is my favorite of any of the opening themes.

I remember the first few shows from that year having the mural when they came on in 1990. Any suggestions for what the main titles should have looked like that year- or in year 8 if they had gotten clearance for the mural?

Wasn't season 7 the season when the opening credits had the Hip-Hop vibe to it?

I honestly don't know which season had which theme song (other than the first one), so I don't know exactly which one you're talking about. However, I HATE with a passion the one where it's mostly just Cliff, Claire, and Sondra dancing. At the end, everyone flaps their hands around Cliff's face, and then his face is revealed at the end. Very lame.

On The Cosby Show, there were legal complications regarding a mural that was going to be used for the Season 7 opening credits before they decided to continue using the Season 6 Apollo Theatre opening for Season 7. If the mural intro had been used for Season 7 if not for the legal complications, then what type of opening credits sequence/theme song would have been used for the show's Season 8 (the last season)?

They actually did use the "Mural" credits for Season Seven, briefly, before the complaint/lawsuit caused the producers to pull those credits and go back to the Season Six "Apollo" credits.

They cut her out of the credits for Season Eight since she did not appear that year, so when the "Mural" credit sequence was reused for Season Eight, she was not included anymore.
