The person the producers are pimping to win the whole thing is pretty terrible. Carrie Underwood can sing country all right, but give her anything else and it becomes obvious that she's not that talented. Her wooden dance moves, lack of stage presence, and overall terrified looks on stage are that of a contestant who barely has the full package that Simon Cowell wants us to believe Carrie possesses. If Carrie was on "Nashville Star", they would have booted her ass off the second they realized what a one-trick pony she is. "Love is a Battlefield" was terrible with a reminder of Carmen Rasumsen's sheep like vibrato, "If You Don't Know Me By Now" was a trainwreck, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Take away the twang, and you've got something pretty terrifying.

How ironic, since their purpose is to get people to avoid voting for hyped up contestants (like how the judges were always praising Fantasia and she won). Carries been the most hyped up by the judges (along with Bo) so that doesn't make any sense. Another reason VFTW is stupid.

Flirt with Simon :rofl: But I agree, she obviously wasnt as good as Bo int he stage presense area, but shes no as bad as people say she is. The performences I stated above had great stage presense. But when it comes to it, the competition is all about who is the best singer, stage presense isnt a HUGE thing in the music world. Heck, I barely knew what it was til I watched Idol :p
