Joker85 05-12-2005, 12:59 PM The Golden Girls: Season Two
Cheers: Season Five
Seinfeld: Season Four
though I'm gonna wait and get Seinfeld later as I won't be able to afford all three next week. But definitely Golden Girls and Cheers
barwars 05-12-2005, 01:12 PM Immediate Must Haves:
Cheers - Season 5
Seinfeld - Season 4
Scrubs - Season 1
Will get for free:
The Simpsons - Bart Wars
Will buy eventually:
The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Season 1
The Golden Girls - Season 2
and Buddies - The Complete Series (because Dave Chappelle is hilarious, and I know this show crossed over with Home Improvement)
vashti1999 05-12-2005, 01:28 PM Buddies - The Complete Series (because Dave Chappelle is hilarious, and I know this show crossed over with Home Improvement)
I would get that now if I were you. Between Chappelle being in the news and the release being available only through Best Buy, it may be hard to find if you wait.
As for me, I'd like Adventures of Pete & Pete (Season One), Buddies (The Complete Series), Golden Girls, The (Season Two), and Seinfeld (Season Four), though I'm not sure if I'll get any of them in the near future. The reviews about Pete and Pete's bad pq is turning me off, otherwise that would be automatic. Seinfeld, many people say season 4 was the best, so I'll give it one more chance to grow on me.

Season 4 is when Seinfeld peaked. Not too "nothing" and not too outlandish.... it was absolutely perfect.

If its cheap, I'll get it. I think I'll be able to afford it. I haven't boughten anything since The Jeffersons and All in The Family back on 4-12.... since then most of my money has gone towards prom. Thankfully, thats next Friday, so I don't have much left to buy. All I have to pay for now is flowers.

I'm kinda surprised there isn't at least something you'd like out this day, because this is one of the most eventful weeks for TV-DVD's since Feb IMO
Dean Winchester 05-12-2005, 03:52 PM Seinfeld is my pick, I may one day get Golden Girls and Six Feet Under, but neither of them are must-haves IMO.

yes, I'd say season 4 is the season of Seinfeld that if you watch and still don't like, then it's definately not the show for you. Season 4 has so many classic episodes.

Nothing I can't get later on. I might get the Golden Girls Season 2 later, and the Best of Silk Stalkings Season 1 sounds good, but I'm getting the full season set, I don't really want to double dip on that :(

Part 1 of the Season 4 finale, "The Pilot", is my favorite episode of the entire series. The fact that it aired the same night as the series finale of Cheers is just coincidental. Speaking of Cheers, the fourth season of Seinfeld mentioned Cheers or Ted Danson in just about every episode.
spunkygirl 05-12-2005, 04:06 PM The one favorite episode of mine of Seinfeld(yes I know I don't like Seinfeld, but it's been growing on me lately ;) ) is the one with Teri Hatcher. They even did a commercial for the DVD and featured the episode with her in it :D
Mecca 05-12-2005, 05:11 PM I didn't know Pete and Pete was coming out. I'm tempted to get that just for nostalgia. Golden Girls S2 is a must have for me.
ClassicTV4Ever 05-12-2005, 05:21 PM Immediately:
Clarissa Explains It All Season 1
In the future (most likely my birthday)
The Godlen Girls Season 2

Teri came back and reprised her role on the last episode of Seinfeld when they were on trial.

No, I might be better off just buying those sets myself as opposed to the transportation costs.
robyrob 05-13-2005, 07:54 PM i am Batman

robyrob 05-13-2005, 10:30 PM isn't it just a "best-of" release? - i was kinda waiting for them to announce that they were going to release the Complete first season...

No you're not on drugs (as far as I know). It is a best of. I wanted a season one set too but I got it anyway.
TVQuack 05-16-2005, 10:23 PM I WOULD be getting
Cheers
Seinfeld
Scrubs
BUT, I'm gonna put that money towards paying off my Dell instead. Damn I hate being an adult.
slackermonkey 05-17-2005, 03:20 AM Cheers: The Complete Fifth Season
Scrubs: The Complete First Season
Seinfeld: The Complete Fourth Season
I'm still $15 short, so if I can't get the money by tomorrow, I'll hold off on Scrubs. I've never seen it and wanted to give it a try, so I figured I'd start... well, from the start.
Moonlit_Suburb 05-17-2005, 03:58 PM The Adventures of Pete & Pete: Season 1

Not till Monday.... when I get home in the morning, I have to head out with the family for Albany, for my brothers graduation.
