Who all remembers that commercial Geri had in the early 80's? They played it ALL the time!! I think it was made to show that people who have handicaps could do things that other people could...like being a stand-up comedienne.

I think one of the clips I remember was taken from one of her stand-up shows. She says something like "When people come up to me on the street they ask me if I'm drunk. I tell that if I was I drunk I would be walking perfectly straight."

I had no idea this was a commerical, but there WAS an episode with a quote similiar to that. I believe it was "My Cousin, Geri," but feel free to correct me on that. :D

I imagine they had Geri slip a few of her stage show jokes on FOL. I think she was doing a lot of touring during 1980-1983. I heard she still packs a full house whenever she puts on a show, which is usually out in the L.A. area.

Yep- exactly right, the line appeared in Geri's first episode.
