Hi I'm new to this board, I'm a big fan of Norman Lear shows, and have been for the past 3 1/2 yrs. I love All In The Family, The Jeffersons, and Good Times, all of those shows air in reruns and are out on DVD. My question is, why don't they air Maude in reruns or put it on DVD, I've always wanted to watch it and I've heard alot about it but I've never seen it.

Welcome to the Maude board. It aired on TV Land for awhile and when it went off there it hasn't been seen sense. to my knowledge it is airing nowhere in the US right now. the only time it was available is when Comcast had 6 episodes on demand and as for a DVD release it appears that they don't want to release it. I think you'd like it, but it is highly politcal and deals with a lot of social issues.

There has been more than 6 episodes on Comcast. I have about seven tapes recorded. They have shown over twenty episodes, and I think they have just started the second season. I hope they play all six seasons of this show.

I keep trying to find the time to tape them but with the playoffs on TV i may have to wait until JUNE to start recording them

I don't get Comcast, I hope TVLand picks it up sometime, because I've always wanted to see it.

I still don't know if this is a show I would buy on DVD after seeing about 45 eps.
