I just saw Alan Hale jr. on an episode of "My Favorite Martian" playing a Texas millionaire. He had the happy smiling eyes and jolly laugh. He looked a lot older, for some reason, than he ever did on Gilligan's Island. If he wasn't perfectly cast as the Skipper then I don't know who else would have been.

I have seen that MFM episode before. TV Land showed it in 2002 or so when it was on the TV Land Kitchsen. It was a real funny episode. You are right, Alan Hale Jr is the best skipper that can ever be. Perfect casting by Sherwood Schwartz

I too love alan hale jr and think he was wonderful he was allso a man who showed alot of apreciation to his fans and he was my favorite GI character not to mention he was the funniest at times and thats only because he was so seriouse.
