Some of you "Mama" fans have mentioned reading Vicki's autobigraphy, and I have couple questions:

1. what is the title of this book. is it still in print?

2. does she talk about her feelings on the differnces between the network version and the syndicaited version of "Mama"? Like, did she like one version more then the other? Did she miss working with cast members that left? Did she like certain characters (like aunt fran, ellen, eunice) that were written off the show?

Just interested in her insight.
Thanks

1. Vicki! - The True-Life Adventures of Miss Fireball. And no, it's not in print anymore (it was published in 1995). You can easily pick up copies on eBay right now, tho. Vicki wrote her book when she was going thru a hard time in her life so she sounds angry in parts of the book. :(

2. It's been a while since I read her book...I can't remember if she mentioned how she felt about the difference...She did, now that I think about it. She said she liked working with the syndicated cast better. That's all I can remember...I'd have to read thru her book again.

If you go to your library and look in the biography section, you should find her book there. :)

I have the book ,which was interesting, but she didn't talk a lot about Mama's Family in which I was very disappointed! :(

I found it at a used book store. It's an interesting read but she doesn't spend much time talking about Mama's Family...at least as far as the cast goes. From what I remember she talks about getting the show on NBC, the cancellation, and then starting it up again on syndication. Just sort of how all that came about. She doesn't speak much on the cast, though at one point I do think she says that she thought the syndicated cast was stronger than the NBC cast.
