It seems like the syndication openings are different from how the show originally played in primetime. Each of the actors that were on for the whole run or most of it had about 3 different images of them throughout the years, but I get confused as to when the images change for each of them. Carl has one where he's wearing a sweater, one where he wears a blue uniform and one where he wears a white one. Jo Marie has one where she wears orange and one where she's wearing a suit and going through the back door. Her last name also changes a few times.

Also, when did they stop having main titles at all? Year 7 or Year 8? It was weird that in the end this show had no theme music, main titles or closing whatsoever.

Finally, it's noteworthy that they never listed Jaleel White as "AND STARRING Jaleel White as Steve Urkel".

But the credits still listed "And Jaleel White as Steve Urkel." That shows some importance.

Yeah, they didn't use the theme song for the last 3 seasons, probably because the theme song no longer fit with the show.

In Season 7 they actually did air the opening Credits on 2 episodes. The Christmas one, and the one when they appeared on that Talk Show. I don't know why they decided to put the theme on these 2 shows, but for some reason they did. Does anyone else remember this?

Yeah I remember when they did that. I don't why they did it though.

I don't remember these episodes. With the Xmas show was it because most of the regulars were in it, unlike the other ones from that season?

The talk show eps was different because when it originally aired it was part of a Beatles theme night, if you remember the eps started out by showing Waldo sitting in the living room watching Beatles impersonaters. They used a different theme song in that eps on ABC, for syndication they put the original theme song in place of it instead.

What about on Leave It To Beaver: "and Jerry Mathers as the Beaver", same thing.

Speaking of "Leave It To Beaver" didn't Larry Mondello (Beaver's friend) disappear without an explanation either? Not to be mentioned again until the very last episode.

I for one think they stopped the theme music in Season 7 because in this season, the characters were not all consistently on the show. Notice how especially in Seasons 8 and 9, only the characters in a specific episode were noted in the beginning.

That's right, with the exception of Myra in season 6 and Rachel in season 4, they showed all of the characters in the opening theme song regardless of whether or not they even appeared in the eps.
