I'm looking forward to get "The Price Is Right" DVD soon. It includes the series premiere from 1972. "Match Game" is the one to look forward.http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif "Match Game" is one of GSN's all-time favorites.

Hopefully, they'll also release the "25th Anniversary Special" from '96 on DVD. That one had alot of classic clips of bloopers.

I hope the 5,000th and 6,000th show are included as well as the 30th Anniversary Special and the Million Dollar Spectaculars. I'll take anything though. :D

It would be, but it will probably never happen, for one it would be way to expensive, and there's just too many episodes to release, it would take over 20 years to put every single episode on DVD

I agree. That would be most unlikely. I'm thinking that it would either be a single DVD with a complation of clips, or a "Best Of" box set with full episodes. Either way I'd buy it. It'd be great to see some classic TPIR, especially full episodes with the ticket and fee plugs in tact.

This could be a very big step ahead for game shows on DVD.

it will be a very big step for game show dvds! we'll be able to start a website like TSoD, except it'd be called GSoD lol

It is unlikely that they would put TPIR on DVD because as commented,it would take too long to put all nearly 35 years on it;but I would love to see them try! It would be nearly impossible to put any game shows on DVD because of the long runs of these shows.

Yep unless they do a "best of" collection(like greatest moments from TPIR) I doubt we'll ever see long running games shows or Soap Operas on DVD. Way to many episodes

Right now, it is looking like the DVD will be clips and not full episodes. And I can safely say that full seasons of Price will not be released on DVD (I believe the few first season before the show started doing summer reruns had around 260 episodes per season; now I think we get about 175 episodes per season).

I'd like to see the episodes that Ox Baker, Linda Cardellini & Vanna White appeared in as contestants. I hope this isn't limited to just the Bob Barker episodes. The original with Bill Cullen should be recognized also. Speaking of TPIR, Does anyone recall an episode where a female contestant was in contestants row & Bob Barker noticed that her name tag had fallen & he went over to her & started to fix it & she became upset & kept asking "What are you doing to me"? It's been years since I saw it & maybe my details are a little sketchy but not by much.

Boo. I knew we wouldn't get season sets but I was hoping for anniversary specials, Million Dollar Spectaculars, etc.
