Besides me; who else out there will find it hard on mother's day because your mother is no longer here to celebrate it due to death?

After 8 years I still find every single one difficult. Especially when we entertain my mother-in-law on that day. I feel guilty because I'm usually too busy the day ahead preparing and that Sunday hosting when I should be visiting her grave at least.

I almost feel jealous of people who do have a mom to celebrate.

Didn't help either the year we did go to my mother-in-law's since we have to pass a cemetary to get there. That just started me bawling.

I hate it now. Father's Day isn't quite as bad, since it's been 25 years since I lost my dad, but still not easy either.

it doesn't really bother me. i just hated that in eighth grade a few months after my mom died we had to make things for our moms for mothers day and the teacher made me make one anyway.

i actually adjusted to life without her very quickly. i don't get all offended when people talk about it. i hate it though when someone asks about my mom and i have to explain that she's dead, because it probably makes the person uncomfortable not knowing what to say.
