actually, looking over the list, only two or three of them are new artists. green day has been around for more than a decade.

Green Day and Mariah Carey are anything but new. Mariah's been famous since 1990, Green Day's been big since 1994, and have been recording since 1989. Gwen also isn't new, she's been with No Doubt and had hits with them for years too.

Just because Mariah and Green Day have made comebacks recently doesn't make them "new".

hah, no doubt has been around since the 80's. they released their first album in 1992 though.

Of those listed, Green Day is definitely my favorite although they're not new.
