View Full Version : Identify Band by Lead Singer

ugotitdude

Here's how this one works: the first person names a famous frontman (or woman, as the case may be), the next person identifies the name of the group, then that person can list another lead singer for someone else to guess, and so on. You may also provide a hint for your clue by listing what decade this band enjoyed its most success or popularity. I'll start:

Vince Neil (80's)

Afraid that's wrong. This band started in the late 70s and was extremely popular in the 80s. Mick Jones is also in the band.

 I know!! Sorry to keep doing that, but keep thinking of singers in other bands that I think are going to be WAY too obvious!! (Besides, I worked with Triumph so it was easy for me!!)

You're right, James isn't that well known, but I do recognize the name - he's with the progressive rock group Dream Theatre!

Of course, the name 7 Year Bitch was a play on the Marilyn Monroe movie Seven Year Itch, and they were an all-female band were really popular in Seattle in the 90's. Unfortunately, their guitarist Steffany Sargent died of a heroin overdose. I did see them one time after that at a Pain In the Grass show at the Seattle Center, and they were pretty good.

Back to the game:

As you can see, I wasn't really familiar with her or what band she was in. I admit I had to look her up, and I guess the 1st thing I saw was 7 Year Bitch. I do remember seeing The Gits, too, but I went with the other.

After I put Layne Staley, I was thinking technically, he's not the lead singer anymore, um, because he's dead!! But I think Freddie Mercury was mentioned in a previous post. So I was hoping that would be overlooked!!
