Coory 04-28-2005, 10:37 PM I would buy one fomr ebay eather. Classicshowsgurl15 04-29-2005, 02:04 PM The guy who was selling it had to sell off his collection because he had doctor bills to pay. He got the autographed picture in person. so he must have met her. TripperFan 04-29-2005, 02:38 PM The guy who was selling it had to sell off his collection because he had doctor bills to pay. (I'm surprised he didn't specifically say it was to pay for his grandmother's operation - that's the usual line) . I would never buy something autographed at eBay. Too many shysters out there. If it was an autograph he got personally from her, then why does it have a certificate of authenticity? Does she give those out with each autograph she writes? Sounds a little bogus to me actually. Yeah, you really have to be careful when buying autographs from eBay. I have in the past, but only from reputable dealers (there are a few well-known ones). Even though I haven't seen it, this Candace autograph is probably real. I mean, I don't think there's a big market for Candace Cameron autographs, so someone probably wouldn't waste their time trying to forge hers. It's the bigger celebrities you really have to watch out for. TripperFan 04-29-2005, 03:18 PM Yeah, you really have to be careful when buying autographs from eBay. It's the bigger celebrities you really have to watch out for. Yeah, you're right, and probably right on the Cameron autograph. I don't want to bust anybody's bubble here - don't get me wrong - just I wonder why it would have a certificate. Anybody can make those up when you think of it. HuntingtonM15 04-29-2005, 03:50 PM Yeah, you're right, and probably right on the Cameron autograph. I don't want to bust anybody's bubble here - don't get me wrong - just I wonder why it would have a certificate. Anybody can make those up when you think of it. Exactly. COA's really don't mean anything. You just have to know the dealer and trust them. It's only a piece of paper that anyone can print up. Classicshowsgurl15 04-29-2005, 06:22 PM At least that's what HE'S telling you. It came with a Certificate of authenticity. Classicshowsgurl15 04-29-2005, 06:26 PM It says on the certificate of Authenticity that the autograph was obtained either in personor through a reputable dealer. He said that he has been collecting these for about 2 years and has to sell them all. He must have gone to a celebrity sighting and gotten her autograph. G-Force Glockstar 05-01-2005, 04:12 PM I don't buy autographs on Ebay. Never. Me either. I've bought many Full House things from ebay in the past, but never an autograph. I just don't really trust the seller. Classicshowsgurl15 05-01-2005, 09:19 PM Oh well I am just telling you guys. When it comes with a COA it usually means that it is Authentic. I think that it is. Sometimes you can tell because if you get another thing from ebay that is autographed with the same signature, but it doesn't look the same as the picture that you have then you know it isn't a real signature. HuntingtonM15 05-01-2005, 09:20 PM Oh well I am just telling you guys. When it comes with a COA it usually means that it is Authentic. I'm not doubting that it is authentic, because it probably is, but I wouldn't trust COA's too much. It really is just a piece of paper that anyone can make. Classicshowsgurl15 05-01-2005, 09:41 PM I know. I didn't mean to get mad. I am sorry. RossFan1231 05-10-2005, 11:22 PM I don't buy autographs on Ebay. Never. Me Either! |
