View Full Version : Baywatch back on Spike TV
tvparadise 04-28-2005, 01:29 PM After nearly a year's absence...Baywatch is back on Spike TV!
Starting this Sunday May 1 (early Monday 5/2), Baywatch will air Sunday nights at 2am on Spike TV. They will start at the beginning of Season 2. It is scheduled thru atleast all of May. Hopefully this will continue thru the summer.

I see it listed in June and July, too.
Scoobiedoo30 05-07-2005, 01:35 AM I am glad Baywatch is Back on Spike TV
BWFan 05-09-2005, 08:14 AM Will they put Baywatch on at a reasonable hour, or will it be on at 2:00 am? I hope that won't be the case putting Baywatch on at 2:00 am.
tvparadise 07-13-2005, 08:42 PM 2 Questions for Pavanbadal:
1- Do you know if Baywatch will continue on Spike TV in August?
&
2- Is Baywatch going to expire after August or will it turn out to be more than a 4 year deal?
I'm okay with it only airing once a week at 2am...I just don't want it to stop and not air at all. Looking at what other cable channels are doing right now I'm not sure where a new home for Baywatch could be whenever the Spike contract does expire.
BWFan 07-14-2005, 07:44 AM I would like to see Spike TV air Baywatch at a reasonable hour rather than at 2:00 am if they are going to continue to air Baywatch beyond through August. Why not air Baywatch at 4:00 pm or even at 9:00 am rather than 2:00 am once a week?
Pavan 07-14-2005, 10:03 AM Baywatch expires in 2006 -- 5 year deal. I still see it on the August/Sept lineups.
BWFan 07-14-2005, 01:09 PM Is Baywatch still going to be on at 2:00 am, or will they change the time that it will be aired. 2:00 am is an ungodly hour to put Baywatch on at that time. Who in their right mind would stay up until 2:00 am to watch a show. A more convenient time would be much better like 8:00 am or 9:00 am. What would be wrong for Spike TV to air Baywatch on every Saturday? Any chance of that happening?
tvparadise 07-14-2005, 01:45 PM Thanks Pavanbadal!
I'm so glad the Baywatch contract will not run out until after August 2006...I just hope Spike will keep it on until then. I'm not happy with the 2am spot, but if I can't stay up that late, there's always the VCR. I mainly just watch and record the weeks that an episode is on that I don't have in my collection. It would be cool if it came on Saturdays at 2am too- but 1 night is better than zero. Maybe on down the line weekday airings will return.
If Baywatch only aired on Spike TV on Sundays at 2am thru Aug 06- it would take us thru most of Seasons 2 - 4. I got most of Seasons 2 & 4 on tape but I'm missing a number from Season 3 which is one of my favorites. I'd like to see some of Seasons 5/6 over the next year as many of those I've not seen (and haven't been on TV) since 2003.
tvparadise 09-12-2005, 10:28 PM Spike TV paid tribute to the late Bob Denver on Sunday (early Monday) at 2am by showing Baywatch: "Now Sit Right Back and You'll Hear a Tale" (Baywatch's tribute to Gilligan's Island). This episode was just shown in August, but was shown again in place of "The Chamber" in honor of Denver. I'm glad Spike TV showed it to honor Denver (since nobody else really did), but I am disappointed that "The Chamber" will be skipped out as I've not seen that episode in a few years and it features some great montages of the first season on NBC (the most of that season ever shown on TV these days).
Pavanbadal...
do you know if Baywatch will continue in October? I saw the Spike TV October highlights and it said that The Three Stooges will air weekends from 3 - 4am. Unless they are changing it, Spike TV goes to paid programming at 3am and I was wondering if maybe that was a misprint and it is really supposed to read 2 - 3am???
Pavan 09-12-2005, 11:31 PM Baywatch will continue 2-3am Sunday nights, followed by the Stooges.
BWFan 09-13-2005, 07:54 AM I recorded the episode on Monday morning thinking that it was going to be 'The Chamber', but was very disappointed that they repeated the episode 'Sit Right Back and You'll Hear a Tale' from last month paying tribute to Bob Denver. Now we won't be seeing the episode 'The Chamber' which was a favorite episode of mine. :(
Spike TV has a tendency to not start programs at the regular time specified at 2:00 am - 3:00 am. They constantly go over, therefore, I have to extend the time beyond 3:00 am so I don't miss the episode. This is the only channel that never starts it's programs at the given time. If they weren't showing Baywatch, I would never watch Spike TV.
tvparadise 09-27-2005, 12:05 AM Well...it looks like "Baywatch" has been removed from the Spike TV October schedule. Any word on it returning in November or before expiration?
Pavan 09-27-2005, 12:28 AM It's off the schedule for Oct-Dec at least. MXC replaced it, it seems.
tvparadise 09-27-2005, 12:37 AM That's all they need is more MXC. It seems weird to pull the plug now with the extra hour added to Spike TV at 3am. I wish they had have at least finished one season. If it's because of ratings...well go figure...if you are going to only show one season of Baywatch it should probably be one that has Pamela Anderson in it. I like Season 2 better than some of the later ones but would have preferred Season 3, 4, or 5. Well, if it ends here I at least got 5 episodes that I previously did not have recorded.
BWFan 09-27-2005, 07:59 AM Well, well, well, why does that not surprise me that Spike TV would just tease us for a couple of months of Baywatch and then take off. I've had with it with Spike TV. I'd rather them not put Baywatch back on their schedule then tease us for a couple of more months.
Scoobiedoo30 10-20-2005, 11:22 AM I am hoping that Baywatch Returns in January of 2006

BWFan 02-11-2006, 04:08 PM Why is it that Spike TV insists upon putting Baywatch on an ungodly hour like 2:00 am? Who do they think will sit up until 2:00 am to watch Baywatch? Why can't they put Baywatch on at 8:00 am or 9:00 am in the morning or even on a Saturday morning? Is that asking too much to have Baywatch on during the day instead of the middle of the night?:angryfire
Scoobiedoo30 02-11-2006, 05:55 PM This is Great News that Baywatch is going to be Returneing to
Spike TV I would love if Spike TV would air Baywatch weekday's
at 3:00 pm Central Time.
tvparadise 02-11-2006, 10:43 PM Great News!
I was wondering when it would show up again in the final half year of the Spike TV contract. I don't care about the time because I wouldn't likely be able to watch it anytime weekdays except from 9pm - 12am and I know they are not going to put it in their primetime line-up. Better to air it at a bad time than not at all. I'll just tape the ones I don't have and watch them during the weekends. What's great is that this time it will be on 4x a week instead of just once so we will be able to get through episodes a lot faster. Hopefully they will keep it on a few months and we can at least get thru Season 5 or 6 (one final rotation of the series would be nice).
Are they going to start from the beginning (Season 2) ?
So MacGyver will only be on TV Land come April?
Are The Three Stooges expiring or will they only be on weekends?

1. Not sure.
2. Yeah
3. Weekends, sometimes 9-10am Sundays and always 3-4am Sunday nights.
tvparadise 06-18-2006, 09:59 PM It looks like the show is being removed again (possibly for good this time since the contract is up in about 2 months). It looks like this Tuesday night's(early Wednesday) episode is the last one schedule until at least mid-July.
