Hey y'all, I meant to post this before yesterday, but was out all day and forgot...

But anyway, SoapNet shows reruns of the now-defunct soap opera "Another World", and ALL THIS WEEK "our Dorothy" will be on each day reprising her 1976-1980 role of Gwen Frame! WEEEEEEEEE!! :D

I watch this anyway for 2 favorite characters of mine (Frankie Frame and Iris Cory Wheeler), but now I have a BIG 3rd to watch this week---I've never gotten to see DL as Gwen during her run in the last '70s.

SoapNet airs each episode twice---first at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, then again the next morning at 5:00 AM (an hour long). Again, I'm sorry I forgot to post this before Monday, but for those of you who have SoapNet at least you can see DL for the rest of the week as the sure-to-be-wonderful Gwen Frame! (They've really set up her return guest appearance with mentions and a couple of discussions).

To see Gwen Frame's character page (and 2 photos of DL as Gwen in the 70s), click here for Gwen's page (http://www.igs.net/~awhp/1gwen.html).

In the '70s she was involved in the lives of Mac and Rachel Cory, 2 of the shows BIGGEST characters all through the '70s and '80s (Mac is head of Cory Publishing). Here is the info on Gwen in Mac & Rachel's lives from the Mac & Rachel page of that AW site:

"Mac hired an architectural firm to build the Cory Complex; the principal architect was a New York Society friend's daughter, Gwen Parrish. Mac arranged sculpting lessons for Rachel at the local college with the art teacher, a sculptor named Ken Palmer. Iris set up situations where Mac would be jealous of Ken and Rachel of Gwen. Rachel was coming in to her own as a sculptor and spending a lot of time at Ken's studio at the college.

In 1976, Rachel was scheduled for her first New York gallery exhibit but Mac didn't share her enthusiasm for the trip. He wanted her home with him. Ken convinced Rachel this was something she needed to do and Rachel left for New York. Mac, angry, had a one-night stand with Gwen. Rachel came back to Bay City early, after rave reviews, to tell Mac she shouldn't have gone, she would quit her sculpture, and they briefly reconciled. Then Mac told Rachel about Gwen. Rachel was devastated. Mac begged her forgiveness but shaken and furious she told him to leave.

Rachel couldn't accept the affair and could not forgive Mac. She escaped into her art. Ken tried to convince her to share his passion for art, which should be enough for her. She knew she still loved Mac. Rachel, understanding she needed both her work and her husband, reconciled with Mac more as equal partners in a new and stronger relationship.....

Janice Frame and Mitch Blake arrived in Bay City in 1979. Janice wanted a job at Cory Publishing, had dinner with Mac one night and left a bracelet in the back of the limousine. Rachel found the bracelet and cancelled her dinner plans with Mac.

Rachel found this indiscretion too similar to Mac's prior infidelity with Gwen: Gone for a week and Mac turns to someone else. It was innocent on Mac's part this time, but Rachel would not believe him and they fought bitterly."

I hope some other "Naomi" fans get a kick out of seeing DL play Gwen Frame for a week in 1989---long live "Mama" cast members! :D

Very cool, Penny! :)

Be sure and tune in today and tomorrow at 1 p.m. for new shows, or tomorrow and 5 a.m. and Sat. at 5 a.m. for those same shows-rerun---this'll be all that we have of her!

Ain't she a hoot? She's sorta like Eunice right now! LOL! :D And Rachel Cory is "Ellen"! Lol :p

Gwen sure is different from Naomi...(by the way, "Frame" is her married name [but she's divorced now])---DL sure has has versatility!
