Did anyone catch Friday night's episode? I thought it was good. Does Joan's mother has the same or similar gift that she does? It seemed like her mom would dream about something and then it would happen. What's the name of the actor who played the devil? He played that character well. Every time he would walk past her, the wind would blow. He just seemed creepy.

That was Wentworth Miller playing Ryan Hunter, but I got the impression that he was not the devil, just someone who speaks with the devil the way Joan speaks to God. The episode seemed to be setting up an epic battle between the forces of good and evil, to be fought by Joan and Ryan, but if there ends up being no third season I guess the viewers will simply have to imagine how such a battle would turn out.

As for Joan's mother, she has been focusing on spiritual matters lately so I could see her being more receptive to dreams with messages. I doubt that she'd ever see God the way Joan does, though.

Is there talks that the show isn't coming back for another season?

Yeah. There's another thread here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=136857) with a link to an online petition to save it but, as far as I know, the show remains dangerously on the brink of cancellation.

Ryan Hunter doesn't talk to the devi. He talks to God as well. He's just not as nice as Joan.

Anyway. Let's just hope it's back next year so we can see how this all pans out.
