Janice 04-25-2005, 04:13 PM Post your pictures of little ones who have captured your heart. My niece, Samantha, has me over the moon. She's my nephew's son. My nephew lost his mother at a young age, and I'm like a mother to him.
Please, no baby pics of yourself. This is for current pictures.
Samantha is almost three months old. Here's the little angel.
Janice 04-25-2005, 04:32 PM Samantha smiles a lot too.

We swear that she's part maine coon! She has the same kind of fur and just is very big like Maine Coons, but when we adopted her they just put down "tabby".
I did see a real Maine Coon once and it was A LOT bigger than my kitty!
TheHappyBurgerMeister 04-26-2005, 11:02 PM Wow! Your kitty's a chubby! What do you feed him?
lol, it's a she! We feed her Science Diet LIGHT- but I guess that's not really working. She's on a diet. Well, as much as we can get her to be on a diet. It's VERY hard to get a cat to lose weight because obviously THEY aren't making any effort to lose any. She's supposed to lose 5 lbs according to her vet!
TheHappyBurgerMeister 04-26-2005, 11:04 PM This is a pic of my little 3-year old cousin Siann :)
How do you say her name? Because I know someone named Sian, but it's pronounced "Sharn"! Just wondering if it's pronounced the same or not.

I know what you mean, the first one I had (that looked like your guy) we just got at a pet store in 1974. We knew he was a big kitten for 3 mos., but had no idea about the breed. It wasn't until we took him to our vet for his shots and a checkup that he said he was a tabby main coon (tabby is just a description of the striping pattern in the coat). You should ask your vet - could be he's part main coon (the huge tale, tiny "chirp" of a meow and friendly personality are the giveaways). Smokey got to be about 18 lbs.
My current coon is a red tabby (orange rather than brown). We got him from a proper breeder. He's currently about 22 lbs. and he is massive. I sometimes use his pic (him in a bar sink) as my avatar.
They're the 2nd largest breed of domestic cat next to the Rag Doll.
Sorry - bit off topic here, but these guys ARE my kids!! ;)

Penny Lane 04-27-2005, 07:55 PM O.k. - I'll bite - why is he named after power tools??
 It's kind of a long story. A friend of mine named his dogs after power tools. He has 2 german shepherds named Mikita and Ryobi. My Granddaughter loved the name Ryobi. So when they got their new puppy she wanted to name him Ryobi. So thats his name!

wow, 22 lbs is big! My cat has never gotten that big yet. At the most she was 17 and I'm not sure how big she is now. I hope she's a little less than that because she's supposed to be on a diet, but we just haven't weighed her in ages.
TheHappyBurgerMeister 05-01-2005, 10:36 PM  It's pronounced "Sigh-ann"
lol, I figured it was pronounced like that! Well, the Sian I know lives in Australia- but I don't know if that makes any difference.

Crimson and Clover 05-03-2005, 03:50 PM this is my baby Lor, she will be 3 months on the 17th.
TripperFan 05-03-2005, 04:29 PM wow, 22 lbs is big! My cat has never gotten that big yet. At the most she was 17 and I'm not sure how big she is now. I hope she's a little less than that because she's supposed to be on a diet, but we just haven't weighed her in ages.
I see - yours is a little fatty eh? My guys were putting on weight and I changed their diet to a "senior's" diet. They loved the taste still, but it has a lot less calories. They just naturally lost weight (since you can't get a kitty on a treadmill that easily)!
Thunder isn't fat - he's just overall BIG! I can't find a pic that will give a good idea of his size really - this is the best I could do. The persian, is a normal size male cat - the red one next to him is Thunder, my maine coon - he's the 22 pounder!
G-Force Glockstar 05-03-2005, 05:06 PM this is my baby Lor, she will be 3 months on the 17th.
