TSoD has put up a news story regarding the first season release. We have cover art front and back, release date, specs and lp.
art does sometimes change, but extras dont seem to be included in this set, simply because nothing for extras is listed on the back.
HOWEVER, check this out!- Someone VERY, I repeat, VERY! close to the production for r1's release of the complete first season says there will be extras.
Here's the minimum of what we'll get according to him-
Commentaries (3) by Fran Drescher on the pilot, season ender and one other s1 episode TBA if this RUMOR turns out true!
i really hope we get these extras.
A person close to the production of the season 2 set of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, which fans thought we'd never see the release of (but now we have COMPLETE INFO! The set will see the light of day july 16th!) (btw, MTM is my personal fave) said he thinks that if feature films get all these extras, so should TV on DVD sets. (releases) (this comment was aimed toward the fact that fox was originally thinking of releasing season 2 barebones to see if it selled will for a lower price, like they did with bob newhart, another mtm enterprises show, but now they have decided to lower the lp (only 30 bucks like nanny s1), AND include dynamite extras, even BETTER than the unbeatable extras that were included on s1)
