View Full Version : Movies you hate, but people love Cactus Jack 04-24-2005, 07:20 PM What are they? dandelion wine 04-24-2005, 08:36 PM Alright I don't know if I should say hate, but I wasn't exactly crazy about The English Patient. A few people I know thought it was one of the best movies they'd ever seen. Max Whittaker 04-24-2005, 08:49 PM Lost in Translation. I had such high hopes for the movie and a lot of people said it was really good. That film was most disappointing. Rhiannon 04-24-2005, 09:43 PM Ocean's 11/12 Caffeine King 04-24-2005, 09:48 PM Ocean's 11/12 Ditto for Ocean's 11. I thought it was awful Titanic is the biggest for me ~*Emma*~ 04-25-2005, 12:08 AM To me Titanic was extremely distressing. Everyone loved it and said how great it was, but I hated it. I couldn't help it, but I kept telling myself through the whole movie "This happened, this really happened!". It was horrible. People just using a horrible tragedy to get big$$. Belair 04-25-2005, 07:19 AM Lost in Translation-couldn't see the big deal in that AT ALL,and ALFIE. *MIBabe03* 04-25-2005, 07:56 AM All of the Harry Potter movies and Lord of the Rings movies. TheHappyBurgerMeister 04-25-2005, 08:57 PM My Big Fat Greek Wedding- thought it was way too cheezy and not my kind of humor. The Incredibles- I didn't really hate it but I thought it was very very boring and not funny. HuntingtonM15 04-25-2005, 09:05 PM All of the Harry Potter movies and Lord of the Rings movies. Same here...especially LOTR. Belair 04-26-2005, 06:30 AM My Big Fat Greek Wedding- thought it was way too cheezy and not my kind of humor. Ohhh,I LOVE that movie.I couldn't stop smiling for that woman, and what a guy John Corbett's character was.So sweet :) rodwayne 04-27-2005, 10:23 AM For me,it's about every movie that I might have liked only for the fact that when its shown on either networks or cable channels, they run the movies into the ground!!!For example:Rocky I,II,III,IV,&V.It seems like every other week, these movies are on.Thanks AMC,TBS&TNT for ruining it for us.And all of thoes Elivs Pressley movies:I'M SICK AND TRIED OF SEEING THEM too.He was okay, not that :cuss: great! How about TBS&TNT showing us a classic every once in a while;something fromTMC?And don't get me started on John Wayne or Clint Eastwood!I have had my fill of them too!! Janet McFarland 04-29-2005, 08:12 PM The LOTR movies. SpunkiiMonkii7078 04-29-2005, 09:48 PM The Lord Of The Ring movies... I started watching it with my friend because she said 'It's the best! You'll love it!' I only watched 15 minutes of it... it was SO boring! What's all the hype about? Jessica TheGreatPretender 04-30-2005, 08:04 PM Cheaper by the Dozen and Napolean Dynamite. Sargent Stewie 04-30-2005, 09:45 PM Star Wars and Harry Potter theanswerman 04-30-2005, 10:46 PM napoleon dynamite Dean Winchester 05-03-2005, 04:15 PM definately The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have a friend who has seen it over 600 times. WHAT IS THE FASCINATION WITH THIS MOVIE? It's not all that. If I want to watch a movie about a cross-dresser, I'd spring for The Crying Game, Tootsie or The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert, before this overrated junk. spunkygirl 05-04-2005, 10:57 PM ALL Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter Movies Georgia's on my Mind 05-04-2005, 11:21 PM lord of the rings Belair 05-05-2005, 04:55 AM Ohhhhh so glad I'm not the only one who hates LOTR.:D Dean Winchester 05-05-2005, 02:26 PM LOTR would be alright if they condensed all three movies down to maybe 2 1/2 hours. The first one was alright, but I tried watching Two Towers twice, and never got past an hour. webuster 05-07-2005, 04:43 AM Lost in Translation- awful! Had big expectations too, considering how hyped up this movie was- but I just didn't see what all the fuss was- boring, and tedious. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 05-07-2005, 07:42 AM Titanic Lord Of The Rings Star Wars Pentimento 05-07-2005, 07:53 AM I don't think there are any movies I hate, but there are quite a few popular ones that I wouldn't want to see again. A partial list: The Wizard of Oz Most of the Star Wars series -- I sort of liked the first two (IV and V). Gone with the Wind Citizen Kane -- Innovative, but still the most overrated film ever. Anything with Matrix in the title Nighthawk76 05-07-2005, 08:13 PM Alright I don't know if I should say hate, but I wasn't exactly crazy about The English Patient. A few people I know thought it was one of the best movies they'd ever seen. I wasn't exactly crazy about The English Patient either. I found it to be more then just a little dull. One movie that most people love that I have never been able to really get into is Braveheart. I think this movie is way overrated. I also never really got into the Scream films either. I think they spent more time on trying to make "Hip" slasher movies then simply trying to make them scary. I expected much more from Wes Craven. |
