I'm sorry, I meant to make the other one a poll.

I chose season 2 because Maxine,Waldo, and Lt. Murtaugh had become recurring characters that year, Rodney was also a recurring character that season(I don't know why he left so soon). Steve had become a regular character and he was only receiving a decent amount of attention(not too much but not too little) I also like the extended theme song. All the characters were still appearing in every eps. And Jaleel White was at the perfect age to play Urkel.

I agree my vote also goes to season 2 because they used Urkel with a pretty good balance. It wasn't too much Urkel but just enough. You also saw how each of the Winslows responded to Urkel all differently. Waldo came on the scene along with Lt. Murtagh and Maxine. And also as you said all of the other characters (Judy, Richie, Rachel, Mother Winslow) appeared more.

Urkel clearly is the cause of the show's success, but I wish they hadn't given him more and more attention as each season passed.

Also in season 2 at least Judy got a little more attention (although still not much). She had at least a couple of storylines. When she was doing poorly in English and Harriette encouraged her to read her book for her book report. And when she was jealous that Richie was getting all of the attention. Laura and Judy share a nice moment. Also during this season Rachel, Richie and Mother Winslow got more attention as well.

I chose Season 3. It had Waldo, Lt. Murtah, Mother Winslow, Carl, Harriet, Eddie, Laura, Judy, Rachel, Richie, and Steve and it seems like although there was many charachters that year, they all got an equal amount of attention and screentime.

And Maxine, but who and why did someone choose season 7?

I chose season 1, because the show was much more family oriented, Judy appeared in all of the episodes, and they were all younger and cuter.

Seasons 3,4,and 5 were obviously when the show was at it's best. I also like season 9 alot (The first half), when Laura finally falls in love with Steve, but doesn't tell him yet. And with Jo Marie Payton still there, of course. I also like how everyone looks then too.

My breakdown of the seasons in my opinion:

S1 (1989)- Good mix with both a family end of the show and a little of Urkel later

S2 (1990)- Nice season. Very original and very enjoyable with every character (even Judy) having their spotlight

S3 (1991)- Very good season. The appearances of Ms. Steuben and LaWanda Page as Elmarida were very classic and funny.

S4 (1992)- Excellent season when the physical comedy started to happen (ex. The American Gladiators, Boot Camp, etc). Well balanced as well and at least Judy was still on the show.

S5 (1993)- Odd at first with no Judy or Rachel, but enjoyable

S6 (1994)- Very memorable season. Funny moments.

S7 (1995)- Started getting a little unreal, but was very funny

S8 (1996)- Funny season (Karate Kids, Beauty and the Beast, the pie fight)

S9 (1997)- Although it was getting real tired out, I still enjoy this season. It wasn't supposed to end, but closed out in a good way. Jo Marie Payton should have just stayed because the series ended that same season anyway. However, in the 2nd half/1998 episodes the show seemed more like a Soap Opera.

Just my two cents.
