the second one at the top looks funny with Fred Gwynne with just the makeup and not the rest of the Herman suit

I know he didn't like being so associated with HM but he always looked
like he was having a lot of fun doing the part.

like he was having a lot of fun doing the part.

It was a real testament to his professionalism that, despite the extreme discomfort he suffered as a result of Herman's costume and makeup, Fred Gwynne managed to deliver such a first-rate comic performance every time and make the role seem like such fun.

The biography was a fascinating look at an extremely under-appreciated artist and if i had one complaint, it was that the special didn't last longer!

:D I expected someone to reply with,'they call that acting' :D

But, there had to be times they cracked each other up. Or couldn't keep a straight face.It couldn't have been all drudgery.

He really was just precious.
