Has anyone seen episodes of "Man About the House" the British sitcom that was re-made in the USA as "Three's Company"? I read somewhere that TV-Land did show a couple episodes of "Man About the House" a few years ago,but back then I did not have Cable TV. I always wondered what it was like especially compared to "Three's Company". Any comments or feedback is most welcome. Sincerely,Steve.

Hm..I have never watched it before. I'm not really into British Sitcoms - even though I totally adore their accents! But "Three's Company" is definitely better then "Man About The House", because I think that MATH only lasted a few seasons.

"MATH" lasted 39 episodes over three seasons, actually a very healthy run for a British series (most British series have 6 or 13 episodes per season). The producers chose to end the show when it was at the height of its popularity, rather than beat it into the ground.
Perhaps because the audiences were left wanting more, the spinoffs, "George & Mildred" (the inspiration for "The Ropers") and "Robin's Nest" (the inspiration for "Three's a Crowd") lasted longer in the UK than their American counterparts -- in fact, both spinoffs had longer runs than their parent series. "Robin's Nest" lasted long enough for Robin (Jack) and Vicky to get married, which never happened in America.

That show IS AWESOME! It's equally funny as Three's company.... most of the episodes I've seen, TC remade for the American Audience.
I ordered my copies off of ebay. Here in the UK only series 1 is on DVD. However, in Australia, they sell series 2.

NOTE: Prices are in Aussie Dollars (weaker than the US $), I believe the DVD's are region free (my copy is), however, it's in PAL format, so you'll have to have a PAL TV (unlikely) or a computer should play it. There's also links to buy series 1 and "George and Mildred" a.k.a. the UK "Ropers"
This is seriously the BEST SHOW in the world!!! I really want them to release series 3-6 on DVD as well.
