As you probably know, I found somethng on TV-Ark's site that all New York City TV stations ran promos for sitcoms that was usually reran since the 70's and 80's. WPIX had two promos:

WPIX "11 Alive" Promo for "Laverne & Shirley", "Barney Miller" and "Alice" (http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/video_us_wb/wpix-11alivetonight.rm)

WPIX "11 Alive" Promo for "Mork & Mindy" and "Little House on the Prairie" (http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/video_us_wb/wpix-11alive-today.rm)

Note: "Little House on the Prairie" was not a sitcom.

WNYW usually ran these promos.

WNYW - Channel 5 promo for "Diff'rent Storkes" (http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/video_us_fox/wnyw-factstrokespromo-1986.rm)

WNYW - Channel 5 promo for "21 Jump Street", "Married With Children" and "Mrs. President" on Fox (http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/international/video_us_fox/wnyw-1987foxpromo.rm)

Note: "21 Jump Street" and "Mrs. President" are not sitcoms.

And this was an ID that WNEW-TV (now WNYW) usually done long before the credits went split screen:
