Hi everybody!

My name is Daniel Hofverberg and I live in Sweden.

I´m looking for "The Growing Pains Movie", the reunion movie, which I believe aired quite recently in the U.S.

It doesn´t seem like that movie will be aired in Sweden any time soon (if ever).

I would really love to see it, so if anyone has recorded it and would be able to provide me with a copy, I would be very grateful.

However, I need it to be in SP mode with good quality, since VCR´s here seem to be sensitive of the quality when it comes to playback of American NTSC tapes (I assume that a copy in native PAL format would be asking for too much...?).

Can anyone help? Of course, I´ll reimburse you for the costs of an empty tape and shipping to Sweden.

Sincerely,

Daniel Hofverberg

I recorded it on tape. I am not sure what you mean by the PAL, but it is on a tape for the vcr. I recorded when i was watching something else but i never got around to watching it. From what i saw it was horrible but if you really want to see it get back to me.

I taped it too. I haven't seen it yet. It couldn't have been that bad.

I have already got hold of that movie thru another kind person, but just for the record I thought I would explain what I meant, if it wasn´t clear...

PAL is the video format used in most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, China and a lot of other countries. NTSC is the video format used basically only in North America (US/Canada/Mexico) and Japan, as well as a few small countries. There is also one third format, SECAM, which is pretty similar to PAL and used in a few countries such as France. Both are for VHS, so it´s the same "physical" tapes used, it´s just how it is stored on the tape.

Most newer VCR´s for PAL can play NTSC (although not record), but I believe it´s more uncommon the other way around...

I taped the movie in SP mode when it was first broadcast. I have no problem making copies for people as long as it does not cost me anything. NTSC American format.
