I think that'd be a good idea, like if someone is bored to go in the Sitcoms Online chatroom (if we got one) and talk to other members! :)

I don't think so.....all I know here is a message board, which is fun, but I'd thought it'd be cool to have a chatroom.

The only chatroom I go in is the carriefans chat, but I guess that's only cause it's a Carrie board with only Carrie fans.

I hate chatrooms, I'd still use the random threads.

Chat rooms usually suck, but not at boards you really like.

I find it can go so fast sometimes that all the comments get jumbled. At least on the couple I've checked out. Don't usually go on. Remember, the mods and TJ couldn't keep track of all that was going on and it could get nasty quickly. It'd be shut down in nothing flat.

and the mods have a hard time keeping track of everything in Random anyway. The only time they really know whats going on is if a post gets reported.

Actually there's one that's pretty good at following at least. I've seen things happen and I don't think there's ever been a report made. Or I'll PM them, and they let me know they've spotted it and taken care of it! We've got good mods. Hey - think of how much is written in a day. When you're not getting paid and have other things to take care of in your life, I think for the 5 (?) we have, they're doing a good job. For the most part, everybody tries keeping in line and I've seen where we've worked things out amongst ourselves before getting out of hand. I think its a great little community! :)

The full list of Mods and Admins. There's a list of people who moderate at least 1 board, admins included, then there's a seperate category each for admins and moderators.

Only chats I've been in were though AIM with friends and I got lost so quick. :eek:

Just to bring up one additional point: With the volatile nature of many chats, in order to successfully run a chat room, you'd need at least one moderator/admin on call 24/7 to make sure things didn't go a little ca-ca. SO's not a small site by any means, but there's just not enough staff to support a live chat 24/7.

Why doesn't someone go to chatzy and set up a chatroom? It's fairly simple, and whomever does it could invite whomever they want from here to chat :)
