Hi everyone!!
I'm new to the Sitcoms Online message boards, and just registered so I could post. First of all, I really want to compliment everyone who uses these message boards!! All too often, I see fighting, and alot of cold heartedness on message boards. Here, it definitely seems like everyone has a great love of sitcoms in general, and it seems like a friendly bunch who are more than willing to answer a question or help out so I really can't go wrong registering here. Now for my reason for posting...
For quite a few years now, especially back in High School, I've been doing my own sitcom on audio tapes..un-rehearsed and pretty much improvised with no script. I let people borrow the tapes and gradually over time they became very popular, with several people a week wanting to hear the latest episode. There's no real way to categorize these tapes, once you hear it for yourself it's much easier to describe it. Anyway, many people told me for years that at some point I may want to seriously consider sitting down and writing a detailed proposal for my idea and see if any networks might be interested. I have submitted it to a few local stations here in Chicago, and got a reply back from one of them. It's a never-too-serious, fun kind of concept, something that honestly, if I could ever get Miller-Boyett to read I truly, honestly think this would be perfect for those two gentlemen to do and would fit in great to what I consider to be ABC's very much ailing TGIF Block. Anyhow, I thought I might post here and see if anyone who enjoys reading show ideas might be interested in reading my proposal and giving me some feedback. I have it on a floppy and I did it on Word, it's a fairly good sized proposal. If you'd like to check it out, please either reply here with somewhere I can e-mail it to, or you are more than welcome to message me on Yahoo IM and let me know that way where I can send it..if I'm not online please leave an offline message. :) Again, I compliment everyone here for making a great atmosphere, and I think this is something a lot of people here would enjoy reading.
