My mom sent me on a hunt for some kind of program where she can recreate our living room and move the furniture and stuff around, to see what it would look like before you get a hernia pushing that stuff around 6 times. I don't even know how to look for it on like ebay or amazon. Anybody know of a program like that?

It'll probably be a version of AutoCad (Automated Computerized Architectural Drawing) from the sounds of it.

Just ask them at the store - Staples, Best Buys, Circuit City, etc. for a home design version of AutoCad.

I've used some online for designing kitchens, but you had to use their cabinets, sizes, etc. which is a bit different.

for a minute i thought you were joking and referring to the amazon (i think) commercial where the lady clicks on the furniture she wants and it automatically appears in the room.

I don't think I've seen that one - I'll have to watch for it.

Professional Home Design Platinum, or there's even the Trading Spaces Design Companion for about $30...
