You know after all this time, I'm wondering if these two are on speaking terms? It's been well known that Jo-Marie Payton was unhappy about her character in the last few seasons and was very vocal about the show being too focused on Jaleel's "Urkel".

Are there any bad feelings between the two?

I don't know if there are, but there shouldn't be. It's not Jaleel White's fault that audiences loved his character that much, if Jo Marie Payton is mad at anyone, it should be the writers. What she was asking for was very simple, and they should have given her more attention the last season.

I don't think JoMarie Payton was mad or jealous that Jaleel White was a favorite to the audience. I think the problems really started when Jaleel White became one of the writers in the last few seasons of the show. I can understand her being mad at Jaleel White because the episodes he wrote focused on Stefan and all the other characters he played. Then when JoMarie Payton turned in ideas with more family themed plots about the Winslows the producers turned her ideas down while they let Jaleel White write episodes that focused mainly on Urkel, Stefan etc. So I can understand her being mad at Jaleel White to an extent

Oh really, I didn't know that Jaleel White was a writer in the last season, I guess that would explain why the show was focusing alot on Stefan the last year.
