View Full Version : How long can you run without getting tired and stopping? G-Force Glockstar 04-20-2005, 08:51 PM Only about 4-11 minutes for me :( TheGreatPretender 04-20-2005, 09:04 PM I run 30 minutes on the treadmill every Thursday at an "aerobic" pace. But I don't think I can sprint really hard for long. *Pleasant Tomorrow* 04-20-2005, 09:12 PM Less than a minute. Edit slash that. Less than a minute is when I get tired and it's hard for me to breath. I CAN go on for about...7 minutes maybe without dying. G-Force Glockstar 04-20-2005, 09:15 PM Less than a minute. Edit slash that. Less than a minute is when I get tired and it's hard for me to breath. I CAN go on for about...7 minutes maybe without dying. I start getting tired in less than a minute too. I can't imagine going more than 11 minutes running (my record).....I would probably pass out! Janice 04-20-2005, 09:20 PM From about here to the refrigerator. I use a stationary bike almost everyday. Some days, I go for 45 minutes, but usually just 30. TripperFan 04-20-2005, 09:55 PM From about here to the refrigerator. I use a stationary bike almost everyday. Some days, I go for 45 minutes, but usually just 30. I hear ya!!! Seriously, right now it would be a minute or so - if that. I'm really out of shape at the moment. Never was a good runner because of my asthma. I used to swim, and I even tire after only about 5 laps now! :( We have a whole "gym" upstairs, but its a total mess. I tried bringing the eliptical machine down to the family room but it made too much noise and freaked the dogs out - they'd bark the whole time! And when I tried doing and weights on the floor, a dog or cat would drop by and either lay on me, or sniff an area I'd rather they not! Just not condusive to a good workout! ;) dawsongirl 04-20-2005, 10:07 PM From about here to the refrigerator. I use a stationary bike almost everyday. Some days, I go for 45 minutes, but usually just 30. lol...yeah, one trip up the stairs for me. :D I just bought me a mini stepper today, but that won't exactly help my lack of cardio endurance. Hollow 04-20-2005, 10:19 PM when i'm out of shape, about 30 sec. otherwise maybe 4-5 min. Some days, I go for 45 minutes, but usually just 30. Same for me. I'm too old to run! I Love Carol Burnett! 04-21-2005, 07:03 AM I have to run 25+ pacers each week in gym and sometimes I take a break... *MIBabe03* 04-21-2005, 07:43 AM I don't run. The only time that might happen is if someone is chasing after me with a sharp, or dangerous object. CollegeDropout 04-21-2005, 01:07 PM I usually go for distance and do 3.5 miles, but other times i run 30-40 minuets in addition to doing the elipitcal, its a good time Hollow 04-21-2005, 02:18 PM I had one of those...but now I'm not sure where it is. :( i have the little stapler karly sent me for christmas in my purse in case i have to staple something :grr: dawsongirl 04-21-2005, 02:50 PM i have the little stapler karly sent me for christmas in my purse in case i have to staple something :grr: I need one, especially since I just lost my big one. pissed: I think giant ants carried it off. Nighthawk76 04-21-2005, 03:02 PM When I was a kid I could run the entire mile in gym class without ever stopping, now if I go up the stairs to fast I get tired. MaydayMalonesGirl 04-21-2005, 09:22 PM They make us run for 10+ minutes straight in gym. I usually get tired in the first three minutes... I'm not a runner. Max Whittaker 04-22-2005, 12:04 AM At this point, I'm rather out of shape. Haven't run like I used to in a while... *sigh* Same for me. I'm too old to run! You're only too old to run when you're dead! :seeya: ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 04-22-2005, 12:24 AM [QUOTE=¤I Love Clay Aiken I can do 5-6mph on tony for an hour no problem, but I went for a walk the other day outside and its completly different. I could probably last for about 3/4 of a mile... maybe 8-10 minutes. In high school, I ran the mile in 7 min., 31 secs. MsOrange 04-22-2005, 01:29 AM Your avatar is killing me. Warm & Fuzzy 04-22-2005, 10:19 PM Running: 1 hour Rollerblading: 6 hrs, non-stop. :D Rhiannon 04-22-2005, 10:25 PM about 2 minutes. I'm not overweight, I'm just not an athletic person. I never have been. Small Wonderian 04-23-2005, 06:22 PM I can run for about 45-50 minutes without getting tired and that's thanks to going through basic training in the Air Force. :faint:  Mr. Television 04-23-2005, 06:23 PM Maybe a block. TheHappyBurgerMeister 04-23-2005, 06:36 PM I rarely ever run anymore, but when we HAD to run in high school for gym class I could JOG for like 2 minutes before stopping at the MOST! To me jogging and running are the same thing- anything more than walking! I am NOT in shape at all when it comes to running. You definitely don't have to be fat to not be in shape. Also, you don't have to be skinny to be IN shape! Living In a '70's Dream 04-23-2005, 06:39 PM I used to be able to run long distances, I even won wards for my running ability, but now that I am older and a lot lazier, I am pretty sure that I cannot (nowadays) run very far. G-Force Glockstar 04-23-2005, 10:16 PM I think I beat a record....lol, tonight while watching my favorite movie I actually excerised on that bike thing for 90 minutes and burned off 588 calories. I guess the movie helped me not concentrate on me working out so hard  Krisalicious 04-25-2005, 12:42 AM Errrm well...I do track, but I'm a sprinter and not a distance runner, therefore the most I ever ran at once without stopping was 3 miles. Each day I run like an hour and a half total but we get breaks in between our workouts, or sometimes "active rest" as my coach calls it, which is when you take slow jogs after sprinting...what an oxymoron though. ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 04-25-2005, 01:36 AM To me jogging and running are the same thing- anything more than walking! You definitely don't have to be fat to not be in shape. Also, you don't have to be skinny to be IN shape! Damn right. Chocoholic 04-25-2005, 04:03 PM How long can I run without stopping? Just THINKING about running makes me tired! :p  I can walk 3-4 miles easily, but I can't run very far. Courtnee 04-25-2005, 05:24 PM From about here to the refrigerator. Ican make it to the frig. but as soon as I open the door, I"M WIPED OUT!!!!! :D Dude111 04-30-2023, 05:04 PM From about here to the refrigerator. Ya thats about it for me also.... I get tired very quickly!! ThisLittlePiggy 04-30-2023, 07:01 PM Walking 3 miles Running 10 minutes Caroline13 04-30-2023, 08:48 PM Do daily or every other day walking, running is a fad and over hyped...I was caught up in the push to run but didn't do much at all. Save your joints. Yong Fang 05-01-2023, 04:53 AM Running? Not very far. I can however walk probably three or four miles without needing to stop. I used to have a pedometer on my old phone. biffbronson 05-01-2023, 08:48 AM I used to do a little slow running at night, in the public school track across from me. However, one night recently a cop shined his spotlight on me and said "You're trespassing." Never mind that non-school people like me use it in the daytime, every day. Discrimination against an insomniac...! Oh well, arguing with a South Bend cop is not wise. So now I don't know what I'll do. Probably just go up & down my stairways. |
