Unless Bree, Lynette, Susan, Gabrielle, or Edie are killed.... I doubt it will. However, I do expect the Season 2 premiere ratings to be a new high.

Also remember, the (for lack of a better word, and I refuse to say "African American") black family will be moving in in the season finale, so they'll surely add some mystery to the mix. From what I understand, the Mary Alice mystery WILL be solved in the finale. Which means something even crazier has to happen either just before or just after that. Another murder will be repetitive.... I hope something even more insane comes from the Young family. Maybe.... Mary Alice.... alive.

But there was nothing about the season finale really... it ended with Mike finding out about Paul purchasing the toy chest.

I enjoyed the special, but was looking forward to that.

Oh... and it would have been a repeat tonight had it not been for the special.

I enjoyed the special. It gave me a chance to see some things that I forgot about but I can't wait until new episodes start again.

I needed it. I missed a bunch of episodes. I watched the first nine or so and didn't keep up after that, recorded a few and never watched them. So this special did help me a bit in getting caught up.

Yes... in fact, I think I read somewhere a while back that it would be on the DVD set(back when this was scheduled on Finale Night).

I missed all of the episodes up til Mrs. Huber's death(well, I watched part of a few episodes on Saturday repeats, but wasn't interested like I am now). I have seen every episode since. In Late January/Early February, I got caught up on the November episodes plus the Pilot re-airing the day after Christmas, and I've read the transcripts from the episodes I missed. They will be the 1st I watch on the DVD set though.

I think since this special was originally slated for the finale night, they couldn't get Brenda and the season finale preview can't be done since the finale is in production right now. So no clips yet from that.

I thought the special was a bit boring. Just didn't hold my interest, probably because it went over everything from almost the whole season and we really didn't find out anything new :(

I thought it was boring. I watched it but I was taping it anyway so I watched the movie locusts. By the way wow awesome movie. The locusts looked fake but they were still creepy. :) So when the movie was over I watched desperate housewives but ended up fastforwarding through all of it. I was disapointed. I thought they were going to give out secrets but they didn't. Why did they use another voice and not Mary alice young? I don't get it.

Yeah... WOW, I just saw that. I expected it to be lower than normal, but it was just as strong as ever. Impressive.

It wasn't too bad. It tied up a few things I had forgotten. Although I did think it would tell more. MY new question is how does the narrator get into the show. Is he the body lying next door to Mary Alice.

Faux Housewives no less steamy
Cobbled together recap pulls a 10.0 in 18-49s

The women of Wisteria Lane certainly can fake it. ABC’s supposedly new episode of “Desperate Housewives” Sunday night was merely a “Dirty Laundry” clip show that offered viewers a recap on the season to date. Despite the fact that it offered no new material, it was broadcast’s highest-rated show of the night among viewers 18-49 with a 10.0 average.

It also drew an impressive 23.7 million total viewers, according to Nielsen overnights. ABC, which has a similar episode of “Lost” planned for this week, wasn’t quite able to fool everybody. The 10.0 rating is down a slight 3.8 percent from the show’s 10.4 season-to-date average, and down nearly 4.8 percent from the 10.5 it posted last week. The recap aired in lieu of a repeat episode of the soap, and leads into several originals scheduled for May sweeps.

Still, people just can’t get enough of the show, no matter how much of a retread the material may be. “Housewives” remains the top-rated 18-49 drama of the year, just ahead of the 10.2 rating CBS’s “CSI” has averaged this season. And the soap is the No. 2 overall show of the year, behind Fox’s two versions of “American Idol.”

If you'd bought the set from Target, that episode is available on a separate disc included in the package.

From what I have read, it's not the same special, but one that ran on E last weekend. It runs 23 mins. Did anyone else buy it?
