That was Gordon Page, Jr. The case has been repeatedly discussed here, most recently during the past few weeks. But no, he has never been found. :(

There was also a dark headed young guy, who was I believe autistic, that went missing named Oded Gordon. Its interesting, I was just watching his story today as I was making a dvd for someone. I couldn't find anything about him on the web, not even on the few missing persons websites I looked at, which makes me wonder if he was ever found.

Oded must be the autistic man that the maninblack was talking about. Besides, Page didn't look Arabic anyway. My mistake (apparently).

I recall from the segment that Oded disappeared in New Hampshire in 1988.

Will this ever be solved?

BUMP

My gut tells me that Oded is still alive, probably living in a home somewhere. He couldn't easily communicate, so it wouldn't be surprising that he hasn't resurfaced after all of these years. I believe he was probably picked up by a motorist, as hinted at in the UM segment, and made his way through the upper East coast.

To this day I can't watch the segment again. I cry like a baby because my dear brother is autistic. I've promised my mother that if/when she dies (god forbid) I'll take care of my brother. I've seen the group homes here and the care isn't the best to say the least. Plus my brother has lead a very sheltered life and it wouldn't do good around people he doesn't know. He had to stay with me when mother had a heartattack and was in the hospital. So he knows I'll take care of him and he loves my family. I don't know what lead to Gordon going to a group home but I just know it isn't a option for my brother.

It depends. I don't think my brother would remember the number but I know Gordon was different about numbers maybe but the number may have changed. My brother can remember lots of things like game show hosts. He can name the show and the host but he watches/did watch all them at one point or another. He knows what comes on at what time like Rainman. It is just so sad that they never found Gordon. I remember once my brother took off after my mother at the church we attended but I ran after him to bring him back home. To this day I wonder what came of Gordon and if someone took him in. I hope something good happened otherwise I can't imagine the ladder.

Where was the supervision at this farm? According to Charley Project, Oded appeared to be bothered by flies in the area, and walked away from the group to get away from them. But then no one noticed as he continued to walk for nearly 3 miles away? Always thought that was weird.

Makes you wonder if something more sinister happened. I've seen some of the kids in group homes become violent. We may never know.

Looks like Brandon Call. He was on Step by Step back in the 1990's.

I don't recall anything in the segment about Gordon Page being less than average intelligence. In fact, Gordon was high functioning. It likely wasn't about not being smart enough. His father drove away while Gordon begged him not to. (I am NOT condemning Mr. Page, 1991 was still the Dark Ages of understanding autism and he was following the advice of 'experts') Gordon may have felt abandoned by his father. It should also be noted that the family had relocated to Florida without Gordon, so he never lived at the house in Florida and may not have had the number memorized.

Yeah, the Gordon Page thing was just plain sad as you can see the regret carved onto his parents' faces. You know they wish everyday that they had gotten him help sooner and that they hadn't left him at that home.

It makes me think of how on The Cosby Show, the Huxtable parents spent years giving Theo crap about having bad grades, only to eat their words later, when Theo was diagnosed with Dyslexia and they were forced to realize that he had a legitimate reason for struggling in school that it wasn't just laziness, and that their attitude probably made the problem worse. From what I heard, Theo's story arc pretty much mirrors that of Bill Cosby's son, Ennis.

My brother was recently diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome and I kind of wonder if my parents aren't going through something similar. We'd all known for a while that my brother was odd and had difficulties with social skills, but when he was a kid, he was mostly just seen as odd. He was diagnosed with OCD and ADHD and Epilepsy (which he thankfully outgrew), but I'm guessing given the time frame he grew up in, the Autism diagnosis was only given if you were on the severe end of the spectrum, which my brother wasn't. Plus it may have been a case of they were so busy spotting symptoms and dealing with them, that they failed to connect to the root cause.

But yeah, I admit I do feel some regret in how I behaved towards my brother. I did frequently protect him from bullies and play the part of the Mother Bear, but I wasn't above picking on him and bullying him myself.

I’ve never heard of this one. I thought for sure he was talking about Gordie although Gordon looks nothing like an Arabic man.
However, I did just read today that Gordon Page jr ‘s father died in Jan of 2018 .
So sad he never found his son.
I believe Gordon is homeless somewhere amongst friends/family that he made on the streets.
There is no way that he is working and or attending school or in a group home and nobody knows who is he is or how to find out who he is.
It’s just unreal in today’s age.
I truly believe he lives a nomad life . Poor guy .
